Micro Miniatures' first chime was the Harmony 16 released in 1987, it was then succeeded by the Harmony 32 sometime in the 1990s, and then that was succeeded by the Harmony 64 in the year 2000. The Harmony 64 was discontinued around 2010 or 2011 and replaced with the HEX 16. Besides the Harmony series, they also had the Symphony 32 which was a Harmony 32 but designed to be connected to a separate amplifier, The Digital Quartet which could play digital chimes and sound effects in different styles, the Chime Sonata series of clockwork chimes, and the Digital Laser which had a CD/MP3 sound source. There's also a chime called the "Melody 64" which was in a van that was for sale a few years ago.
@@TheBeeshSpweesh I’m planning on making another video revisiting Microminiatures chimes as I’ve gotten more information and history about them. I don’t have a lot of info about the Harmony 16 but I do have a picture of it to use in the video.
The Kiddie Call can also play accordion style chimes, one of my local van has a Kiddie Call and plays Match of the Day in an Accordion style and it also has O Sole Mio and Teddy Bear's Picnic in a music box style.
Good video. I’ve been asking around and was wondering if you knew how I could come by all 64 full chimes from micro miniatures harmony 64 music box in good quality. I was trying to find a harmony 64 music box to buy but could not, find one and I keep looking on RUclips but I can’t find a compilation of all 64 chimes with the full versions and I really like the music. Do you know what I could do to solve this issue? Is there anyway I could get them?
Hi, thanks for stopping by and leaving your comment. From what I understand, the tunes from the Microminiatures Harmony 64 music box are copyrighted, which likely explains why you’re having trouble finding a full compilation of all 64 chimes in good quality on RUclips. As for getting the full versions of all 64 chimes, your best option would be to find and purchase a Harmony 64 box, perhaps on eBay or a similar site. Once you have it, you could record all the tunes directly to get the quality you’re looking for, and perhaps create a tune list from it. I also came across a RUclips channel that recreates the Harmony 64 chimes in really good quality, which might help you out: youtube.com/@shyonwarner7968?si=FygL3pSDNdsrxseY Good luck with your search!
I’m really fascinated to know more about the history of Inventron and also how Microminiatures and Chime Tronics got hold of their chimes because I’m trying to find them in good quality and I like their music a lot. Do you know how I could come by them? I keep on having this problem with ice cream van music, it seems to be the most difficult music to find in good quality. I have been replicating some of the harmony 64 chimes recently and they are on my channel if anyone is interested.
@@GeedenmurrayForvalldos Unfortunately, I don’t have much more information about Inventron Kiddie Call ice cream van chimes, as they were quite a niche company, and the history and photos about them are hard to come by. As for Chime-Tronics, they stole some recordings from a music box website, but some of the recordings, including the ones in the rare list, were recreated by the owner of Chime-Tronics from videos of music box movements on RUclips. And I believe that Microminiatures have digitized or digitally recorded their chimes based on music box movements. The only way you could come by them is to either buy some boxes off them or ask around for some good quality recordings.
@@JamiesIces yes I know they took some chimes from the music house website right? But they also somehow came by Harvin chimes such as skaters waltz in G major. They have some of the kiddy call chimes on their website.
