Yes writing articulates the germination of an idea ( it is a fragile little tendril that comes up at first and it needs watering, fertilising and dappled sunlight at first). Sometimes I use an old chalkboard and seeing it in black and white also helps the germination process as you go about the rest of your week. I too want to update my big brown sofa cushions. I think it’s good to not always be creative so we can rest the mind and take time to observe the world around us. Often what we observe around us gives us fresh ideas for next creative project. Totally relate to being in a creative funk! It happens all the time. Two things that help me feel motivated again: (1) finding and finishing an old forgotten project (2) thinking about something practical that I need, and figuring out how to make a creative project out of that. Adorable whale 🥰. I usually get stuck at the beginning of a project because the getting started steps can seem tedious to me. So I give myself the smallest of goals to get started. I want to get started on a blouse for myself and have been procrastinating. So the goal today was just to take my measurements and compare to the pattern. Eventually I get to the fun part and then it's hard to stop 😊. Thank you for the video!

I think you're right on track -- setting small tiny wins to help build that momentum is key!
