Very cool video of the aortic valve I've had since 2008. It's good to see the manufacturing process. If I do the rough math it's sobering of how many times these bifold doors have opened and closed in 13 years. My confidence in this valve is strengthened by the strong positive results of the echocardiogram I have annually. My first valve was a medtronic mosaic that lasted 5 years. I trust this one will give me many more years. Great job St Judes. You have a lifelong customer!
Jeeah. I wish they will perfect bio valves some day coz now even dumb person knows they dont last much....until then im 38 and 1 year owner of thicking valve in my chest.hoping i will get 30+ years out of it!
I had my St Jude mechanical Mitral valve implanted on 2/13/2014. The clicking drives me nuts sometimes but my granddaughter that we are raising loves to listen to it. She says it shows her I am still around to love her

Hello sir I had done avr in 20 dec 2018 and literally the avr clicking noise is too short to hear .. And i am driving a cargo truck daily on bumpy roads its can affect on avr
Hi i have got st Jude's mechanical mitral valve since 14 years.thanks Allah its working perfect.im very happy satisfied.furst of all thanks to my Allah and then a big thanks to st Jude's family and then my doctors.❤❤god bless you all.
My husband has one and it’s been amazing. He got it when he was 20. He is almost 31 now. IEven though I won’t be alive, I wish they would test them for more than 100 years. The fact that he has to take meds through out his whole life makes me worry ab what it could do to his body in the long run. He’s already had a few problems but compared to death, I’m Sure we made the right decision. More testing needs to be done but I will say in my opinion. My husband is younger and I think this was 100% the right choice.
Mam is there any way i can contact you as i am just 19 yrs old and doctors have suggested me to go through avr so i would like to talk with some body who has gone through something like this
@@edwardnewgate7945 My 18 yr old son has gone through this in 2017. He is doing fine now. Not sure what is in store long term. But, for now he is back to normal ways of life. There are food restrictions - primarily he has to avoid many vegetables (green). Since he is a non-veg food lover - so it isn't a big concern.
@@SubrataPanda27 Even i have to undergo the same procedure next month and am 23 and can't understand which valve to choose the mechanical or bioprosthetic, which one do you suggest. We'll even am a non veg lover

I have one of these valves too! I have had it since 2011. Im 36 now and still running strong!

I had my valve replacement November 16/2018 the best thing I could have done luv the clicking noise don't bother me at all
