I’m not too big on handle cups but I did one for myself with uvdtf and now I use it all the time and be thinking I’m all boujee with the handle cup 🤣 🤷🏽‍♀️ I know it’s not the same as epoxying it so I’m going to try it. Quick tip: if you lay out a blob of black and a blob of tack it and use a wider chip brush and drag your brush through both at the same time, you can lay both at the same time in one swoop.

      @@wickedwhiskeydesigns you and mix 2:1 tack it and acrylic paint to base and sticky all at once as well. You'll need to play with ratios for your own humidity etc.

    Girllll!!! That gold/brown glitter ombre is GORGEOUS 😍 The cup turned out beautiful!
    I haven't decided about the Stanley dupes yet, but I'm thinking the handle would be nice and just maybe the bottom would be small enough to fit in the cup holder of hubby's truck. My 30oz skinny won't, but the 20oz skinny will.
    I love the way this one turned out and it's really making me think I wanna give it a try!

      thank you!!!! i was nervous because brown is not in my life color line up .. hahaha... and for the record, they fit BEAUTIFULLY in cup holders whereas 30 skinnys dont always so win/win for that!!!.. and THANK YOU for finding me on the food channel!!!! trying so hard to not swear in the middle or whatever then i noticed on the playback all the glitter on my face and then i just laughed because OF COURSE i have glitter on me!!!! hahah xoxoxo

      Tbh, your swearing is one of my favorite things bc it shows how completely honest and unrehearsed you are! No script, just real life going on here, complete with things that go wrong (and how to fix/avoid them). Makes us realize everything does not go perfectly and that's OK. I love seeing real sruff bc it helps me realize I don't have to be perfect. You keep doing what you're doing- we love you! ❤

    When your videos come on it always kicks my butt into gear to work on my own! You are right, normal handles suck. Somehow I did one that had CHUNKY glitter and it had almost no bumps on the handle, but the one with fine glitter was rough enough to cut my hand?! How does that make sense? I love handled tumblers, so my next step is the 40oz ones. And you are my kind of chaos, especially since I just noticed I somehow got epoxy in my hair today... Subbed over at your food channel, I am not much of a cook so maybe I can learn something! ❤

      oh my friend!!! let me tell you about all the times i have had to cut epoxy out of my hair too!!! hahahahaha ... and YES, handles are the worst so of course the chunky decided to behave! .. ugg!! when they play nice, the are awesome... when they dont... :( .. and THANK YOU for following me over to my other channel

    love how this turned out - but what did you use to attached the glitter to your tumbler? but it breaks my heart - that you can't see all that beautiful glitter

    • @wickedwhiskeydesigns
      @wickedwhiskeydesigns  4 месяца назад

      I have to be honest, I was a little bit sad about that myself. I absolutely loved how it looked and it's raw natural glitter State :-) lol! I always use spray adhesive to attach my glitter. So spray adhesive, glitter, another run of spray adhesive, another run of glitter. Unfortunately by the time I was done this video was going to be so very very long if I didn't start speeding up through some parts and I really did not want to speed up through the glittering but it had to be done. I'm sorry!

    I'm a bit confused about something you said. I've been making tumblers for five years. I've never heard that Ailleens had to be heated up. I've always heard you need to wait until the glue is clear and tacky and that's how I've always used it for applying foils and strokes of glitter etc.

    • @wickedwhiskeydesigns
      @wickedwhiskeydesigns  4 месяца назад

      hi there!! so by heating it up, you dont have to wait for it to become tacky .. i kept forgetting to heat it up and i would have had to wait a while for it to become tacky... as it was just added, the foils just slid right off of it if i didnt heat it up .. by using a torch/heatgun, it becomes clear and tacky almost immediately.. lol.. now maybe that is not how it was made to be used .. but that is the quickest way i found to be able to achieve the tackiness :)

      @@wickedwhiskeydesigns Hello again. I enjoy your sense of humor and lightheartedness and I truly am not trying to argue or take away from the art you create, I am only trying to clarify. By applying heat I have always thought we are only attempting to "dry" the TACK IT, not heat it up. Perhaps I am incorrect. I hope you have a great day. Kris QMG

    • @wickedwhiskeydesigns
      @wickedwhiskeydesigns  4 месяца назад

      @queenmarieglitters4989 no worries at all hon - honestly I've never used tack it without heating it up and it's not part of my everyday products. I have always heated the tack it up because I knew that there's no way I can apply it and then walk away to give it time to become tacky. If I have to walk away from something for 30 minutes or an hour, I'm going to totally forget about it lol! I'll be going back to do it two days later and we'll be starting all over again lol! Honestly, every video I've ever watched when I was learning how to apply foils, all of the videos I watched they heated the tack it up so that it was immediately tacky and there was no wait time. So that is how I've always done it... but I would definitely suggest maybe playing around with that on your end and see if you get different results or if it's a new way to maybe help you get through things faster.. I only use Tack it to add foils, I know there's a million other uses for it but in this particular instance, applying the foils and using the tack it this is the only way I've ever learned to use it.

      @@wickedwhiskeydesigns I have been using TACK IT for 4 or five years on tumblers. I am only saying we apply heat to dry the glue not to necessarily heat it up. We both know it needs to be clear before applying the next step but who wants to wait! I forget also..lol
