    Well this is a nice drill for the northern farm. That way you dont have to send one from the south up north and you'll save transportation cost. Now about all thats left is a combine & sprayer for the north and you'll all set and will just have to drive up there in the truck. Hopefully all this late snow leaves plenty of moisture to get the seeds a good head start

    It would seem that as all of us viewers know, that you are way way overdue on putting cell phone chargers in every vehicle and tractor you own/drive...So bite the bullet an buy half a dozen phone chargers and put one in every vehicle and tractor so that way you will always have one with...Then keep a spare around handy for those times when you hafta drive a sprayer, somebody else's tractor/truck or semi...That way wherever you are, Your Always Prepared...And if you get enthusiastic pick up a phone holder which can have a clamp mount, or a suction mount or even a magnetic mount that you can use in the cab or outside the cab so your not forced to always hafta hold your phone when recording a video...

    I love the idea of the sign on the back! I have always wanted something like that on my truck. Difference is that you can fit an e entire sign trailer on your rig lol
    I drive freeways a lot, and I often see giant transformers or refinery vessels (or SpaceX rockets lol) where they have to take up the entire freeway for hundreds of miles with a giant fleet of cops and pilot cats, and that's what they do, pull over every few dozen miles at pre planned wide spots or ramps to let traffic past. It sucks to be stuck in the mess, but better than if they didn't pull over! Lol
    I appreciate your proactive management of the traffic, and looking out for the little guys.

      @j.e.honiball1327 2 года назад +7

      I'll jump in here since Mike hasn't already. Yes, they do a pass or two (depends on the farmer) around the contour of the field to leave space to turn around. Also remember that the drill is 84 feet wide, leaving 84 feet of space between passes to turn around in.
      As for the difference between a seeder and a planter. A seeder deposits the seed at a set rate (say 20lbs/acre). It does not count every individual seed and is used for fine crops like canola, wheat etc. A planter plants seeds at specific population, say 40 000 plants per acre. To achieve this, each individual seed is placed at the determined distance to achieve that population and thus every seed is counted. This is used for larger seeds such as corn etc.

And you are alone with no workers or employees. And you want to finish the job in the field in 6-8 hours. Like planting or tilling. or spraying. What size of machine you need behind a tractor at least? 20 feet? 40 feet? And will a John deere 7 RX with 310 HP do the job? Or do you need a bigger tractor for the 125 acre in 6 hours?
