It's a somewhat common trope that is usually present in sci-fi to have spiraling towers that pierce the skies, obscured by a horizon of misty clouds. You probably saw it a decade or more ago, and it now brings you indescribable, unexplainable nostalgia.
I personally think you reached your peak at creating art on this video. The style that's been changing a little over all those years with the yume nikki animations you have been making, as well as the skill at both animating and drawing that was getting better and better - the result of all of this progress can be seen here. I really like the song used as well, it fits yume nikki vibe quite well. Overall I really adore this animation and am very thankful that you decided to make and show it to us! (I really hope this video will get a good amount of views...)

from 2:28 - 2:55 i can't breathe and my heart becomes so heavy. paired with the "goodbye" lyric, it feels like before death, madotsuki is remembering everything about life but it's up to us to decipher for her which of the memories shown is a happy one, a sad one, etc. -- if there even is a definitive emotion that can be put on to anything that she recalls from her dreams. this itself reminds me of how the game makes me feel. lots of people call yume nikki an objective "horror" game, i disagree, i think it's the only accurate representation of dreams ive ever seen; it just exists and leaves us to decipher it. there are moments when the game is scary (uboa, red king, dark world), but these exist next to the silly witch event, masada sensei, neon world, madotsuki cuddling next to a girl in an igloo for warmth, a retro game world, etc. the world itself (and yume nikki) is made up of lots of different experiences. i think that's what 2:28 - 2:55 means. thank you for using powapowaP's beautiful song "sora no sakana". you've used it perfectly.

i think i love yume nikki animations so much because yume nikki itself has no dialogue, no concrete lore, very little story, just cool visuals and this specific vibe, so every fanart or animation is similar but still unique and interesting. its really cool to see different people's takes on one piece of media. I love this so much, i thought the scene at the end with all of the super tall buildings was really cool.
I don't know how to express how much I love and how much this animation means to me, it makes me want to cry every time I see it because it's so beautiful. 毎回様々な世界観、作風でゆめにっきを描き続けてくださるのがすごい、愛が伝わってきます。いままで恐怖でしかなかった赤の王様が、あまりにも綺麗で、こんな解釈があるのかと震えました。いつも素晴らしい作品をありがとうございます。
ゲームでは体感できなかったのに、水滴や光の滴を映像から感じて、またあの夢の世界を思い出しました。
