I would like to highlight that those expecting a physical marriage to another person won't happen until both parties are purified to God's standard. We may feel ready, but the darkness in our hearts is mostly hidden from us and let out over time by God so it can be reshaped to love others truly. Let marriage to another go and follow the Lord to lead us to completion by learning to love 'trainer' spouses. 1 Corinthians 7:29-35 describes that we should prepare to be single until we finish what the Lord needs to do in us. We marry our superior selves approved by the Lord. I documented what that is. I say this to alleviate the cycles of deferred hope and not to keep awakening love that leads to hurt. A physical marriage is the end game, but God needs us fully formed before he blesses it!

This exact Philippians passage (1:9-11) is the last thing I sent to the man God revealed to me as I told him it didn’t seem like we would make a good team because of a particular gap between us on a particular ethical issue. There are so many other exact connections like this to what God has been saying to me in my dreams and prayers. So this confirmation through you comes as a relief: I’m on the right track and need to wait for the Lord to lead this man to the next right action while I keep my heart welcoming and warm toward him. I was ready to give up and throw in the towel on this man and trying to hear God’s voice.
