Instead of using string to hold your ring, try four dowels arranged the same way with rubber bands at each end. Put the dowels on the rack and the ring on the dowels. Of course the dowels have to be long enough to extend past the ring. Make a larks head knot on the ring with a rubber bad and slip it on the dowels end. Love your videos! I did macrame back in the 70s and am happy people like you are keeping it alive.
Thank God.... I have been looking for these tutorials for a long time. I really enjoyed your tutorial. Right now I got stuck with my chandelier. I will do it your way.
Hi..., thank you so much for this beautiful tutorial...👍 You explain things so well and make it very simple to understand. Ones again thank you so much. 😊🙏
So happy to hear that! And I have to say the part pf attaching it to the ceiling was not that easy, but we’ve already done this with the original chandelier I’ve had there, with this one we just opened the chains and exchanged them. Maybe if I do more chandeliers I can try to walk you guys through it as well 😉
Love this. Can't make my mind up whether to do this one or the blossom one. Love em so I'm probably gonna do both. If I'm good enough . I'm a novice but I'll try. Thanks Anna
Wow! It's so minimalistic and yet so elegant! Very unique also. I would love to see how it works on a lamp when the light is on..? It shows on a pic you attached it to the ceiling lamp. I imagine it would also look good on a floor lamp as well.

Hey i tried the same chandelier with twisted cords with all the given measurements its looking beautiful but the shape is not that good i have to adjust it everytime to make it look good i guess the knots are more tight or its maybe due to the twisted cards i used ..... Your video was helpful ❤️
You mention in the video that you use a tire rack? Did I hear you correctly? I'm in the US and a tire track here looks nothing like that. I'm trying to figure out what I could use here.
Yes, that's correct and you are right it has to be this specific type where you stash the tires on top of each other with the metal tube in the middle. I am not sure what I would use instead of it as I've had this since the very first chandelier I've done...
Hi Sydney, that's awesome! Well the only thing I would consider is whether you want to have a smaller size ring because if you will keep the same size you will need more cord and it will also take you a bit longer to complete...but other than that 3mm will work just as well 😉
Hmmm, you mean taping down the brown twine cords to the black top in the center? I think that could really help, a very clever idea, thank you! I will have to try that next time...
Oh yeah, mine is doing that too, maybe it's not as visible but it's certainly happening. I think the trick is to keep the right balance between adding new cords and working through the gaps. It starts cupping more when you are not adding new cords and instead you are closing those bigger gaps with the existing cords, then everything gets more pulled in hence the cupping. I hope that helps...

A bientôt
Bonjour 🙂 In those rows you have the first cord which makes the new row - that's the longest one and then I ended up adding two cords at different gaps in the circle and those two are the same length. So really it is the same like the other rows I was just adding en extra cord there. I hope this helps...
Not all the time, I don't think I added rope in every single row, but there were also rows where I added two or three extra cords. You need to judge it by how big the gaps are.
Well I try to sell them but I am not putting as much effort into that so most of them are currently at this exhibition waiting for their new owner 😌 ruclips.net/video/OHG3DxuaXp0/видео.html
The design is absolutely beautiful but It is very difficult to understand the measurements , in row 1 do u mean we are using 2 cords 3 metre each and in the second row just 1 cord that is 3 metre & add 1 cord 3 metre…. Then 3rd row there is 1 cord for 3 metre & 2 cords r added for 9 metre each please if you could explain it would be great..
Right, in this one you should take the measurements as only an estimate because yours will probably be different depending on where you will see the gaps to add new cords. The first cord in each row should be the same but then all the others that I am adding might be different for you. So I would suggest go with what you see as you are going through all the rows, when you see a gap add a new cord even though my instructions may not have an additional cord in that row. For the description I added it is as you said that in the first row I was using two cords at 3m each. In the third row the initial cord was 3m and then I added one more cord at 2,9m. Other than the first row the cords I am adding are always slightly shorter than the initial cord for that row. I hope this helps.
You mean your ring is 12 metres in diameter? That's huge! Well this design was more of a add-as-you-go type, I can't judge very well the lengths and number of rows in advance. I just knew that I wanted to have three half-circles on it so I split the ring into thirds and then just kept building the first half-circle until I got to that third. But you can probably do a rough estimate based on how big my ring was and how many rows I did...
If google translated your question correctly you wanted to know how many strands this cord has. So for the braided cord I am not sure, maybe 8...? And then there is the core of the cord. The single twist I was using for the tassels has just the one strand - hence the name single twist. I hope that helps.
Do you mean the thickness of the cord? I was using a 5mm braided cord for the pattern and then a 3mm single twist cord for the tassels. I am always noting down all this info in the description of my videos ;) You can also find all the measurements there.
@@Its_bhaveee Okay, so the first number always means the number of cords and the second one is the length so in the example you gave - 2x3,2m - you should cut two cords each 3,2 meters long. I hope this helps ;)
