First of all, i think he was either heavily inspired or just have similar attributes as you said, but they are very different. But despite all those, they have one thing in common. BEING TERRIFYING
I had a similar idea for a fanfiction opening. Godzilla attacks San Francisco, but the G-Force and GDF recognize that something is wrong. Minutes later, another Godzilla comes ashore with the aid of Rodan. The two Godzillas fight, and Shin comes out on top, knocking the True Godzilla unconscious. After further examination, the GDF find out that Shin is actually a mutated experiment, mixed with Godzilla's cells and is a form of hybrid. The closest a Godzilla clone will ever get to...
I had a similar idea too, 1954 Godzilla regenerates into a GMK type form and destroys Osaka but the JSDF mistaken him for Godzilla Junior and try to kill him, until both monsters come face to face at the end
There's a form that destroyah did have we didn't see on screen or the comic book page, but I can't confirm its canon but it might be a scrapped idea for destroyah, so it is confirmed that destroyah and shin godzilla do have another form up their figurative sleeves.
I also noticed that these two had a lot of similarities, you showed well that they were practically identical. It's really odd to see that Godzilla's new incarnation has more in common with one of his worst enemies than godzilla himself.
@@cookiesnugglez7318 Yeah, "Meet The Robinsons" is one of the best non-Pixar animated Disney movies of the 2000s. It's right up there with "The Emperor's New Groove", "Atlantis: The Lost Empire", "Lilo & Stitch", "Treasure Planet", and "Brother Bear".
I thought shin GODZILLA was a scientist that created a mutli-layered genetic code and infected himself on a boat in the ocean and then mutated into shin GODZILLA.
@@AlexGNR no. I think destroyah would end up dead. Burning godzilla had stunned destroyah multiple times and delt lots of damage to him. And you still think destroyah can stand against burning shin?
Afterall most of what you said is absolutely correct, but to me there will always be the fundamental "meta difference" of Shin and Destoroyah. Destoroyah was basically just a glorified return of the Oxygen Destroyer to have some kind of "back to the roots circle thing" to connect the supposedly last Godzilla movie with the first from 1954. Shin Godzilla was a metaphor for the 2011 earthquake in Japan and how the government totally messed up. By now most people should know that Shin Godzilla is a highly critical dark satire of the government response in 2011. There is just more meaning to Shin Godzilla and the namesake monsters. I love Destoroyah and it's design. It is definitely one of the more iconic Toho monsters, but apart from that, Destoroyah is kind of...shallow.
@@phatzilla9275 And that personality is...? He basically does nothing besides causing destruction. Then he takes on Godzilla Junior who was lured to Tokyo and even later he engages Godzilla. It's not like Destoroyah actively searched for these fights. His rather detailed origin story also does not count as a personality. So, I don't see how Destoroyah has more "personality" than Shin Godzilla. If we're being honest, few monsters from the Godzilla movies show any sign of personality, apart from Mothra, SpaceGodzilla, Biollante and a couple of monsters from the Showa series.
i find that to be true as well however , there is a other movie that the beam sound is the same like this , the Godzilla vs Mothra movie , not the showa one but the battle for the earth one.
Theory: Shin Godzilla is the first Godzilla after the Oxygen Destroyer killed it. That means that Destroyah and Shin would be related due to Destroyah being created from the Oxygen Destroyer
Or Shin Godzilla is actually another Destroyah and after taking some of Godzilla Jr's DNA he was able to change himself into a Godzilla like Clone and maybe makes sense why we see the tail spawns be human like size just like he started Growing in Godzilla vs Destroyah when facing the JSDF.
At first before watching this video I thought Destroyah and shin Godzilla were related because of the color of their atomic breath, special tail, and the sound of their atomic breath
No wonder i had a feeling about Shin, i mean both can adapt and mutate to different forms to cope with their surroundings and can shoot lasers (yes that is not the atomic breath its just a generic redundant laser beam).
Shin has 5 forms. Not 4 1. THE MYSTERY FORM (aka the form that we only saw the tail of) 2. Kamata kun 3. Shinagawa kun 4. Kamakura san 5. Those humanoid creatures on the end of kamakura sans tail.
I know, just didnt count the humanoids as a shin form. I get why some do, we just don't know enough about them, and if the main 4th form resumes while only a few creatures come off the tail.
Shin Godzilla has a fith form that's coming from his own tail multiple humanoids coming from the top of his tail and one coming from the inside of his tail. And he's the most interesting one ever made his flesh from the building can duplicate himself into other ones or create wings as said in the movie this seems very interesting what do you guys think.
Without watching the video I'd say yes seeing that this godzilla keeps evolving into terrifying forms (by Godzilla standards) and as others have said has a similar heat beam to destroyahs
It's obvious that they copied a lot from Destoroyah in order to have a godzilla that is the most unique, when actually he is the most inspired from some other creation, similar to destoroyah's copy of alien with it having the extending mouth which gets talked about by every fan, yet shin godzilla's obvious connection to destoroyah is almost never brought up even though it's even more obvious than the alien copy. Especially since they literally use the same laser sound effects for both shin godzilla and destoroyah. I think it's hilarious that spacegodzilla and ghidorah are called uncreative and lazy for having old showa monster's roars, but no one talks about this when reviewing shin godzilla. Probably just bias.
now wouldn't that be a cool concept a movie where Shin Godzilla was hit with the oxygen Destroyer either instead of or after the blood coagulant and where that two parts of shin Godzilla survive weather for part of it was pre separated and lived on to be another shin Godzilla or both parts were in the oxygen Destroyer event with one part evolving into Shin Destroyah and possibly Shin bagen with the other part evolving into shin Godzilla and even though that Destroyer normally the villain of the film at least whenever people consider who would be the villain between the two in this particular case they both be no matter who would win everybody loses and I can just see them bringing a dark tone to the film just sort of making it to where it's just a doom situation no matter what the apocalypse is coming and just for good measure we could throw in Shin Mechagodzilla where that it's an AI that becomes self-aware and is determined for one reason or another to beat Shin Godzilla so it begins to build itself a body and continue to advance itself over and over so it becomes a nanotech like machine that mimics Shin Godzilla's Evolution noting that Shin Godzilla is the most advanced organism but then tries to take it to the next level utilizing technology sort of similar to the idea of the meca Godzilla from the Godzilla anime trilogy but taken to the next level and all three would just keep evolving into worse and worse creatures until who knows what happens in one version of shin Godzilla story I heard he evolved into God so maybe all three of them do that I don't know it would end up happening I guess it'd be up to whoever made the film

The concept of Godzilla evolving isn’t new at all. It was used as a plot point in the original film, as quoted by Dr. Yamane: “During the following geological period, the Cretaceous Period, a rare species of intermediary organism was evolving from a marine reptile into a terrestrial animal.” So really, Shin Godzilla isn’t based on Destoroyah or Hedorah at all. He’s just a modernized incarnation of Godzilla (1954). And before you bring up “Shin’s a colony of microorganisms!” No he’s not. Never once is it said in the movie that that’s what he is.
