- Ingredients:
oil/ghee 2 tb sp
Semia roasted 3 cups(I used ashirvaad roasted vermicelli)
Veggies:carrots, potato,peas,knolkhol or beans together 2 cups
Onion sliced 1 cup
salt
To make coarse paste:
mint 1/2 cup
Coriander
2 green chilli
Garlic cloves 5-6
Garam Masala powder 2 tsp
Method :
Step 1: boil water and add a tsp oil and salt. Add in semia to boiling water and cook for five minutes. Strain it to a vessel immediately and ad cold water on it. Also add some oil toss twice and keep aside
Step 2: pressure cook veggies to one whistle by adding salt, turmeric and some water.
Step 3: make corase paste of masala ingredients
Step 4: place a kadai on stove.add ghee or oil.once heated add onion and saute for a few minutes.add salt and ginger garlic paste and fry again.add in mint and chilli paste and mix well. Add cooked veggies,turmeric and mix again. Adjust salt. Finally add cooked semia and start folding gently using to spatulas. Semia pulao is ready to serve. Serve it with onion raitha.
onion raitha:
chopped onion 1 cup
Chopped tomato 1/2 cup
salt 1/2 tsp
minced green chilli 1
coriander
curd 1 cup
mix everything together to make raitha.
