Thanks for the quick rundown on the gun before you guys shot it. I've seen these around but I'm not an expert by any means on guns or world war II guns so I learned a lot more in this video than I have anywhere else about it. Quick and concise.
40 grand but that's for one pretty close to new condition one that's battle scratched that works fine is 25 grand still that's one of the nicest machine pistols made its like ugly wife n happy for the rest of youere life they really are nice a budget gun that turned out to be one of the best
I was issued one when I was in Germany from 81 - 83. Loved the thing. Simple and effective. Not for any distance. I think we qualified out to 75 yards.
Great fun video. We were using grease gun in Germany in the 1980s. We had hundreds of them in the armory, after east Germany fell, they disappeared. Just wonder where they all went to.
The maker of the M3 and the M3A1 submachine gun was Guidelamp, a division of General Motors. It was in .45 ACP and was to take the place of the more costly M1 and M1A1 submachine guns.
I do family history research and my great granduncle (who passed in 1989 before I was born) served with the 10th Mountain in WW2. I found a book about his company written by Hugh Evans (silver star recipient) and John Imbrie, who also served in the same company. There were recollections from various members in the company and one mentioned my granduncles M3A1 malfunctioning in camp and taking the finger of a fellow soldier. Although it was an unfortunate reference, I was able to learn that’s what he carried. RIP T SGT Cusano

Short controlled bursts. 👍🏻 More of such videos, please and thank you both.
Always good to see Tom make it to the range. You won't live forever folks. Enjoy it.
in 1944 it cost the us government about $20 for one and today its about $40,000.
Pshhhh not facts I made one out of tinfoil and a toilet roll son
I prefer the M3 to the Thompson
Muzzle control. Muzzle control. Muzzle control!!
i understand how expensive that gun is and how hard it is to find a barrel for it but it looks like its key holing.
I swear you could see .45 rounds going down range when firing the M3.

Elmer Fudd seems to know a lot about the M3A1
Absowutely. 😐
All i can say is , Rock N Roll guys, great video!!! Greeting from Canada.
That looks like a lot of fun. I have never fired full auto. I have watched others but never was invited to try it. It can get expensive in a hurry.

Great review and nice shooting range. Thanks guys!
Another great video! Love how Tom's collaborating with another collector and enthusiastic SME!
Thanks for saying so, it was a great experience that I'm appreciative for!

Some were given as military aid to the Philippines, Montenegro and others where they are still in inventory.
R’s are tuff.
Absolutely fantastic thank you for the test 😮
Looked to me like Tom shot a better group on his target.
great video guys!
Amazing gun. I bet you decades ago you could buy these in magazines for a few hundred dollars lol.
The Hughes Amendment helped build many an investment portfolio!
Keep them coming! Big thanks!
Get some!
He'll of a price Tom. Good job
My late friend Jim was a tanker in Korea and had a curved barrel model...

The suppressed version is amazingly controllable.
