An insightful and thought-provoking video! The idea of Buddhism as a philosophy rather than a religion is fascinating and resonates deeply. I appreciate how you explored this paradox with clarity and depth. Truly makes me reflect on the essence of Buddhist teachings. Great work!
If Buddhism is approached as a philosophy or practice, such as mindfulness or ethics, it can often be taught in public schools in a secular context without promoting religious beliefs
As a Philosophy major, I recognized Buddhism as an ancient philosophy. Ancient philosophies were things you lived even to the point of being identifiable by your dress. Never understood why it was classsed as a religion 🤷♂️
Buddhism is not a religion. It is a philosophy or Teaching about the fundamentals of human life & Humanity. And its practitioners are encouraged not to just believe in it but are encouraged to investigate it and validate its teachings by themselves thru' their life.
Student; “Master, why did you start Zen and meditation?” Zen-Fu Havi: “To get answers to all my questions.” Student: “Did you get that, answers to all your questions?” Zen-Fu Havi: “No, I got something better.” Student: “Really, what was it?” Zen-Fu Havi: “I lost all my questions instead.”
Your channel radiates such peace and wisdom-it's truly a treasure for anyone seeking mind

Zen Buddhism is not a religion 🙏
Tibetan Buddhism is a little more spooky and can easily be considered as a religion, or at least religion adjacent.

Lord Buddah was not the only Buddhist teacher.
... just as there are several Christian teachers quoted in the French Bible.
Absolutely true! The Buddha himself encouraged others to learn from many wise teachers

Many schools include secular practices like mindfulness without linking them to religion
