This is so cool. I've subscribed to Adobe CS and CC forever, and hadn't even downloaded An. I now see it's the great grand-child of Macromedia/Adobe Flash. But super versatile and integrated with the rest of the suite. I noticed the animations and output when published work on my iPhone, too. Flash wasn't even dreaming of this. Can animated output be deployed as snippets in Premier Rush, as well? It would be very cool make my own transitions and overlays on and between scenes.
You got it! People think it's just for character animation, but it's an amazing tool to build HTML animated content: banners, ads, infographics, ect. Glad you enjoyed it!
Hi! Thank you for the video! That's pretty nice 👌 I am a beginner animator, so, can someone explain me when it is better to use Animate or AfterEffects?
I think it depends on what you want to animate. I only use after effects. But now i need to make interactive banners, witch is not possible with AE. So now i am deep diving in to animate. It looks like rigging and frame by frame animation is something you want to do in animate. (I don't rig and don't make frame by frame, so i'm not sure witch software is better for those animations). But other wise i feel like after effects is more convenient...
Hi Angelo, How can I import the interactive on my website? Do I need to upload the package files into my hosting? Would you mind making one video for that?
Hi Angelo. Thanks for the tutorial. I'm trying to follow your tutorial but some of the functions you have are not the same for me. For example, creating a Tween and adding the Ease is different. So I'm stuck.
You certainly can! This is just another way of building out an interactive map that can be placed inside an InDesign document. Animate also gives you more flexibility of exporting the work as HTML.
@@AngeloMontilla thx for your reply. The only problem is that the html won’t work in an interactive pdf right? Maybe so basic hovering and fading in text boxes does work in an interactive pdf, when you directly built it in indesign. I’m looking for some good alternatives since interactive pdf has a lot of limitations for animations :(
You're a gift! Best videos I can find anywhere.
Thanks! I am glad you find them helpful.
Great tutorial, Angelo! Your videos are always so inspiring. Thanks!
Thanks Suzanne!
Will all your tutorials have a price from now on? I was so enjoying your content.
Hey Carl. Not all of them. However Pro and Pro+ members will have access to exclusive content like this one.
Nice video tut! This is so cool! It this works on InDesign Publish Online?
It sure does Luis.
Question about the Indesign doc, how is the interactive map used with the indesign doc in it's entirely ? Where would this be used and how?

This is so great! Can this be added to a website?
Yes, it sure can! Near the end of the tutorial I go over how to publish the html/js. You can use the code for your own website.

Hi there! Yes, you'll have to hand off the packaged HTML, js and images to a developer.

Hi again! I figure it out! Thanks so much for this video!
Why do you use adobe animate for this? The same can be achieved with designing in illustrator and creating buttons and animations in indesign, right?
You certainly can! This is just another way of building out an interactive map that can be placed inside an InDesign document. Animate also gives you more flexibility of exporting the work as HTML.

Or mp4 since interactive pdf doesn’t let gifs play
For an interactive image, my employer needs a .js, .html and .css file. Do you have a tutorial about that?
Hi Hannah. I go through the Publish Setting process in this video: ruclips.net/video/455eHaBtPDY/видео.html
Thanks!
Windows 11 + Animate 24, pasting path into motion path doesn't work.
Exported your interactive infographic tutorial as directed here, yet interactivity not working
Did you figure it out Jon? Just seeing this now.
