Hey Imani! I have to catch you after Church! I am buying some of the tools you use, but I can't use the drugstore makeup at all. I use Mented Cosmetics which for women of color from dark skin to light skinned pigmentation. You have done another beautiful look sis! Thank you! ❤❤❤😊😊
😢 You girls who find your perfect shade (or close to it) in foundation & other base products are sooo lucky. Over a decade of trying & the undertones are either too ashy for me or too orange. And when the undertone seems right (yellow enough), the shade itself is too dark. Then the lighter shade that I could mix it with messes it up (because the undertone is too orange or too grey 🤦🏾♀️). Currently have 6 foundations (3 high end, 3 drug store), no match. Customer reps in stores are too eager to hand you "generic-black-girl" shades, think the time when everyone was handed MAC NW48 (?) LOL. I've just given up at this point. Maybe having a bit of an olive undertone is part of the challenge. It's just sad that I can only apply lip & brow products but no matching complexion/base products.
