Ginola on his day was a good a player as any player to grace the Premiership. I remember watching this game on tv when I lived in London and couldn't stop laughing at this goal it was so good. Must show my son who wasn't even born when this happened. Thanks for posting it.
Newcastle were a free flowing attacking juggernaught in those days. We played to entertain and attack attack attack to score goals and hammer teams out of sight. Don't care that we didn't win anything it was pure theatre and in these times of managers playing boring football for a boring point it's great to remember how good they were. Everyone talked about our team and loved watching it.
that time Shearer transferred to Newcastle for 15 million pounds, was world record. The whole Ferencvaros budget for a year was approx 1 million pounds, not mention Ferdinand Ginola etc. They were the top club that time in England. So the question is why they lost 3-2 on the first match
What a goal by Ginola, and Tino with his xxl shirt , brilliant.

that Ginola goal is special. It seems he was trying 'em all night from that distance . He's equally comfortable on either foot
Right before we smashed Man U 5-0! The Toon Class of '96 ruled!
