Good on the referee for penalising cardenas. However he's subtly doing it throughout the game that went unpunished. The annoying thing is it's not enough to be penalised with the current rules but as the opponent it is extremely disruptive. A lot of players do this on the tour and it's extremely annoying to watch and play against
This has always been a part of professional squash. El Hindi comes to mind. It’s the job of the referee early in the match to set the tone. Just giving a stroke (no need for conduct warning, just a simple stroke) early in the match will set the tone. They know what they’re doing. El Shorbagy explained how he was taught 3 ways of clearing-clean, dirty, and in between.
15:24 NG was not ready to play, he didn't handle to get back to the center when Cardenas hit the ball. Moreover, NG played the ball very badly to the center. So after his very visible error he should go around Cardenas after Cardenas hit the ball. This is very obviously 'no let'! And this not only one unfair decision in this match for Cardenas.
Also you can find NG not coming fast enough from the back to the T. This is why he takes the straight line through Cardenas. Everybody in the room is calling him the blocker, but in reality he is only applying pressure, while NG can't handle it, and the ref can't see it.
Was the stroke at the end for repeated offences? Sorry totally on the side that it should be a stroke cos he was going into his line so much but just confused because previous times were lets? Also ball hasn’t come back to him which I usually know to be a stroke. If anyone could explain would much appreciate!
I'm glad the ref caught and penalized all these dirty movements by Cardenas. 6:40 - "I'm not doing anything". Dude really needs to watch this back and fix things. Now I'm wondering if he won the whole tourney with this terrible blocking.
That was a weird game, a tale of two Ngs.The first part he hit tin after tin after tin. 6, 8 free points for Cardenas. Then he played like a #1 player. The movement from Cardenas should be penalized after the match. Memories of Asal.
You are, in fact. No player has a right to retain the T position in the rules, but every player has the right to unobstructed access to the ball. You should read the rules.
That movement from Cardenas was incredibly annoying to watch
2:44 thanks for confirming that an hour is, in fact, 60 minutes. Truly insightful commentary

Once you've got the reputation you'll always be under a microscope. He's done himself no favours.
Good job Ng

Finally a No Let at 12:25
You can't give a stroke on 15:50, who put this guy as a referee???
Professional blocker

The referee was paid is my one explanation. I can't see other reason for all those "decisions"
sędzia kalosz!

So annoying to see bad movement from Cardenas
15:25 진로방해 움직임 스트록 잡아내는 심판 존경합니다
게임 내내 저 쓰레기 같은 움직임 토나올것같아요

2-2 … ?
Cardenas the blockhead
Your not obliged to instantly get off the tie to let a player through to the back across court
You are, in fact.

You should read the rules.
The speed of many of Cardenas shots and Ng,s movement was such that it seems impossible for him to clear instantly
If you're not good enough to clear for a shot you play, play a different shot or get better.
This is why this sport lost many people's interest
