I can see Peg up there with God, she is finally home singing praises to Him! I love this video. I had breast cancer in 1982 at 27 with two young children. I was a Christian but of course that experience brought me closer to God. I began listening to Gospel music and the Mckameys were one of the first groups I discovered. Their singing helped to bring peace to my spirit during my healing . Now at 70 their singing is still as precious to me. I have seen them at least 4 times. What a blessing they are!!
I have been with this precious family so many times and they are always a class act, such a godly family and Always pointing everyone to Jesus! Truly had Holy Ghost anointing on them. Thanks for sharing this older clip ❤ 13:42 13:45 13:47 13:48 13:54 13:54 13:55 13:56
Just found this clip and so glad I did. I always loved the McKameys the use to New Hope Baptist Church here in Sylva always looked forward to them coming

I've heard people over the years say what Peg does is just a show. Well this is before they got "popular" and got a big following and she had the Holy Ghost just like she does now. Glad for old fashioned Christians who are excited about the Lord. We need more of this in our day
Amen! I have heard the same. She is the same as she always has been, I've got a live album that is older than this recording and she worshipped in the same way on it. Peg is an authentic Christian, she doesn't have anything to show except what God has done in her life!
Blake, I am so hungry to be around children of God , who will get excited about the things of God and what he has done for them. This world is one big valley of dry bones it seems. Although I didn't agree with them, selling "Peg's hankerchiefs" Had the feel of idolism to it imo.
@@ChildofGod949 I think you're mistaken about that. I've seen the McKameys many times for years and years and never heard of them doing that. I would've had a problem with that. Peg is an old fashioned holy ghost filled Baptist so she knows there's no power in things like that and she knows the power of God can't be bought or sold. As far as the rest of your statement, it's so true. Find you a group of blood bought believers who don't care to praise the Lord for His glory and His goodness. A place where the Word of God is preached in clarity and power. Those places are few and far between this day but God's got a remnant everywhere. God bless
@@blakeedmondson9573 I am not mistaken. That is what was told by a person who directly went to one of their concerts. Now, they maybe mistaken. And I hope they are. I have enjoyed the Mckameys since the 80s.
@@ChildofGod949 So you heard it from someone else? If that's the case, they're mistaken for saying it and you're mistaken for saying something you didn't know to be true for yourself
Would you happen to have any more of these old videos of the McKameys? This was back to just after they started singing full time. I enjoy this old sound of the McKameys.
some church denominations do not believe in clapping, it is seen as giving praise to man and not to God. I'm not sure what church this is, maybe that explains it.
I can't get enough of the Mc Kameys singing

She’s actually been making a few appearances! Look up the Bledsoe’s. She did a couple of songs with them recently!

It's so quiet in this church they could have a nice funeral if they had a casket with a body in it
Well Praise The Lord !

Why doesn't the audience applaud after the songs??
some church denominations do not believe in clapping, it is seen as giving praise to man and not to God. I'm not sure what church this is, maybe that explains it.
RoastBeefSandwich , I just have never seen The McKameys in a setting where the audience didn't applaud after each song. 😀
RoastBeefSandwich this is Woodhaven free will baptist in Michigan
This is worship, not performance.
Where is this singing taken place.
