Tobacco Vanille is not $400 for a 50ml if you know where to look. Buying retail is a scam and you’re shooting yourself in the foot doing so. Fragrance groups and discounters are the best option. As someone who’s only bought from groups since 2016 I’ve saved a lot of money especially being able to buy decants of a fragrance before committing to a bottle.

i don't regret anything i personally bought in terms of smell, everything i bought has smelled great and i've loved each fragrance, but i do regret getting eau de toilette instead of eau de parfum, just because i realize now that like 90% of people literally cannot even smell what i put on unless i've applied it super recently or if they are in touching distance to me
Le Male Elixir was my first JPG fragrance. I bought it a few months after launch and did so because of the hype, it was my first regret although I'm quite used to blindbuying. A few weeks later I tested other flankers and really enjoyed them, namely Le Male Le Parfum and Le Beau Le Parfum. Sauvage Elixir, on the other hand, was the only Sauvage I was missing. Sadly it was nothing like the ones I had. Absolutely hated it. Since both blindbuys I've spent a considerable amount of time, effort and money researching Fragrantica and other content before even buying a decant. I guess both fragrances were a good lesson. Thank god they were designer.
The one I regret buying is Versace Eros edt. First ever cologne, and I prefer edp but my parents got me edt (Still thankful). I regret it do to the fact I accidentally left it in the sun for 5 months without knowing that’s bad. So i don’t technically regret buying it
what you said is true, sometimes we are fooled by advertisements and make blind buys and currently there are too many perfumes with sweet aromas but in my opinion the fragrance will taste good when it's half or a third left.
Le Male Elixir is sort of a shot in the dark. It can definitely be too sweet in the opening, but the drydown is pretty nice and it works well with my skin chemistry. I can totally see why someone would dislike it, though.
My biggest regrets was buying light blue edt instead of intense and my Dunhill icon racing blind buy(I like icon racing but I don’t have the situation to use it )

Regrets: Bentley Intense, Prada Black, The One EDP, Prada L'homme, Armani Code Perfumo, ADG Parfumo and most of all: Spicebomb Extreme (which was SUPER weak).
John paul elixer smells very similar to perry ellis 360 black. Mostly because of they share similar dry down notes in amber as well as tobacco. Because of this elixir was spoiled for me, luckily i only purchased a travel sample of it.
I went to a store looking for which dior sauvage model I should get and when I let my mom test out the elixir model, she said it’s something that my grandpa would wear because it smells like a fragrance for more mature men
I regret buying tom ford noir extreme. I enjoyed it at first sniff but it quickly started to smell bland and uninteresting in comparison to the rest of my collection
Haha i actually thought the opposite, i didn't like it at first but as my nose developed it has gotten so good. I'm curious, what are fragrances that u have that u like the most?
What you said about Tom Ford TV is me with Nishane Suede et Safran. 230 euro for a 50ml. I'm not coping when I say it smells better than Ombré leather but still damn that price is insane. I feel like not wearing it because its a waste, but not wearing it is a waste too.
I blind bought polo green awhile back at a cologne store and it’s probably the worst purchase I have ever made. I have trouble sleeping every night knowing I bought polo green
Luckily I didn't spend much on my biggest regret, but it's Lattafa Khaltaat Al Arabia Royal Blends. It's very sweet and fruity, which I don't like. I've worn it twice and never again. I do have Maison Alhambra's Tobacco Touch, and it's very good, I'd recommend checking it out for a great Tobacco Vanille dupe.
I regret Creed Aventus and Aventus Green Irish Tweed. Aventus smells like a rich old man not youthful at all and GIT smells very green and dark. Not that either are bad scents but I’ve never got a compliment wearing either and I don’t care for them. I get zero pineapple out of the Aventus but my bottle is only 2 years old. I agree intensely is better than absolutely I own the original as well.
I almost blind bought spice bomb extreme. So glad I tested it at the mall, that scent is not for me. I know a lot of people love it but I just couldn’t see myself wearing it.
biggest regret buy for me was a classic fragrance from the house of Krizia "Spazio Krizia. Uomo" This scent was so unique and masculine I took one smell of it and bought it immediately the 1st time in 1996. Bought it again in NYC in 2003 and vehemently regretted. The dry down was non existent. I could get maybe 3- 5 hours out of it before having to reapply it. Terrible buy!!!
Tom Ford's decline in the frag community is saddening. They used to be a titan of originality and quality. Now, they have some of the worst price to performance in the industry in their private line. I have some signature line fragrances from them but I wont be replacing. The private line frags are good to spray on at the airport duty free as there are some unique scents that are too weak to bother anyone at the plane and will have completely faded when you reach your destination.
i regret buying mancera red tobacco. i really like the smell of the fragrance but pretty much everybody im around cant stand it because of how strong it is.
The same thing happened to me with Asad. I thought if it comes close to Sauvage Elixir, it must be good. I didn't know either of them. It makes me feel sick, and I gave it to my father
I blind bought Hindu Kush from Mancera. First of all, it had the atomizer problem where it sticks and you have to manually pull it up after each spray (which is relatively common with Mancera from ehat I understand). It was also just too heavy on the patchouli, for me.
eau des baux by loccitane is way better than tabacco vanille and a third of the price. it still performs really well as a edt too, one of the most slept on underrated fragrances fr
when it comes to fragrances I have but don't wear: number one is Encre Noir by Lalique. I appreciate this scent, however, not only do I kinda know this scent from somewhere, this scent is so groomy and murderously serious, that I can't imagine myself smelling like that.
Anything from Tom Ford Private Blend is overpriced and underperforming. The Maison Alhambra rip offs are way better value, literally one tenth of the price.
Turning 26, Sauvage Elixir came out a little bit way tooo sweet for me, even though Dior Homme Intense is pleasant, maybe due to how the perfumer worked the ingredients, feels BDC like in terms of natural, will smells good a hundred years from now
Unpopular take but initially enjoyed MFK Gentle Fluidity Silver but after a while started to dislike it. It's a good thing I only have a sample of it and didn't buy a full bottle 😅
I don’t have by Killian angel share. I have lattafa Khamrah! Give that one a shot if you want something similar! It’s a fraction of the price of angel share! I love it!:)
Purchase samples first, buying full bottles and then not using them is just a waste of money, not rocket science just common sense really, that amount of money is crazy.
Im Sorry but every fragrance you mentioned was a banger. You're analysis on these fragrances that are mass appealing and very good. 😂😂😂 Can't believe what im hearing. I do agree Intensely is better than Absolutely and i do agree Initio is just ok though
I agree, when he bagged on Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille and Le Male Elixir I just had to laugh. Sounds like he shouldn't be in this game if he is so concerned about spending the money 😂

Blessed baraka is amazing
The same thing happened to me with Asad. I thought if it comes close to Sauvage Elixir, it must be good. I didn't know either of them. It makes me feel sick, and I gave it to my father
I blind bought Hindu Kush from Mancera. First of all, it had the atomizer problem where it sticks and you have to manually pull it up after each spray (which is relatively common with Mancera from ehat I understand). It was also just too heavy on the patchouli, for me.
Tobbaco Touch is a steal. Makes you think that luxury perfumes are some sort of a scam business.
They are. A legal scam.
eau des baux by loccitane is way better than tabacco vanille and a third of the price. it still performs really well as a edt too, one of the most slept on underrated fragrances fr
Sauvage Elixir gets me a lot of compliments from either man or woman I don't know when I wear it .
when it comes to fragrances I have but don't wear: number one is Encre Noir by Lalique.
I'm happy I got le male le parfum instead of elixer. I hate sickly sweet fragrances.
Lacoste Blanc, Reviewers said that the white florals wouldn’t make it feminine but I find I way to feminine
Turning 26, Sauvage Elixir came out a little bit way tooo sweet for me, even though Dior Homme Intense is pleasant, maybe due to how the perfumer worked the ingredients, feels BDC like in terms of natural, will smells good a hundred years from now
Stronger with you is exactly like a Christmas store. It's only for December. It's not that great it's just strong cinnamon.
Which is better in your opinion absolutely or intensely 😂
I didnt buy but i am agree with you about tobacco vanille. It is overrated.
I hate it
Purchase samples first, buying full bottles and then not using them is just a waste of money, not rocket science just common sense really, that amount of money is crazy.
gaultier is so good!
@neo7759, where he went wrong, was being influenced by TikTok videos and blind buying fragrances. Probably even paid full retail like a dumbass.
Dior elixir is amazing. Very masculine
Re-selling lightly used fragrances is much more lucrative than I ever could have imagined. I rarely lose more than a few dollars and occasionally profit. Sell them.
Where to sell them ? If you could reply that would be great thanks
@@Corbinwggns Ebay, I'll add up what would be retail or full price at a discounter and subtract 20% then list. If you're buying at REAL retail, you'll never recoup your money.
@@Mr.CellophaneHart ah okay yeah but my eBay says you can’t sell used cologne I’m guessing only sell if a few sprays are missing? And list it new?
Sauvage elixir infuriates me, whenever I walk into a room I'm choked out by it, it's way too strong
Nice Video! Some people say the new batches of Sauvage EDP have perfomance issues. Do you agree?
For me it’s ultra male jean paul, light blue dolce gabbana and versace dylan blue. Hate them and gave them away.
Bro im the same about tom ford. It’s really bad too because i have a 50ml of tobacco oud that was similar price, and it’s discontinued. I wear it maybe once a week in the winter. It's the third bottle I've ever owned of it and honestly probably the last, I feel like the likelyhood of getting a fake is high at this point. If anyone knows any good tobacco oud dupes lmk, my favorite fragrance of all time idk why it was discontinued.
If you don't like sweet perfumes and rock with hard hitting fragrances then dior sauvage elixir is a blind buy for you.
Dior sausage is the only 1 I blind bought and hated.
Gucci Guilty Elixir, one of my biggest fragrance regrets. Still trying to get someone to buy it off of me.
I got tobacco touch on amazon for $24 and its legit spot on and I get a good 8-9 hours out of it
100% Agree with you on everything you said about Absolutely VS Intensely. The booziness in absolutely really does not smell good, intensely is simply the better SWY and I will always go for Intensely over Absolutely.
both are pretty bad
