come to Nebraska!!!!!!!!!!! Our defense is made for a player like this!!!!!!!!!! #1 in scoring defense, Greatest fans in college football!!! man you will love it!!
Yes BUILDING SOMETHING AWESOME, in case you haven't been following today we have a top 10 recruiting class on various websites. Neuheisel historically has his best season in his third season. This year will be no different. The monopoly is over. And there is not a doubt in my mind Owa is going to be a beast. And he was a great recruit but he was just one piece of the top 10 puzzle.
Both schools are on the east side of Portland, but they are not traditional rivals or anything. They don't even play in the same league. Grant plays in the Portland Interscholastic League while David Douglas (Owa's school) plays in the Mt. Hood Conference. I hope this helps answer your question.
FYI, he's a DE, not a DB...all the more reason to play for Nebraska :) Good luck in your decision Owa, i know most people will be cheering for you in the coming years no matter who you sign with come next Wednesday. GBR
i agree. i was replying to another fan that said he's better than suh. i dont think their will be another DT that will dominate like suh did this year. not for a long time.
Make the wise decision and go to Oregon. Oregon has a bright future, and a defense that will help you out! Nebraska's defense is terrible and requires the defense to all the work. Go to Oregon, defense is going to get a lot better, and help make Oregon a complete team. GO TO OREGON!
@ jeffword Since 1936, the SEC has the most championships with 20. The big 10 is second with 18 followed by 17 from the big 8/12. The pac 10 has 9. That's good for Odigy if he wants less of a challenge. But if he wanted a championship caliber team whose program and personel would help fully develop his potential, he should have gone to Nebraska. GBR! Go Bo!
Tradition, #1 scoring defense, best defense in the country. UCLA cannot touch nebraska football. UCLA recruits very well too bad you havent won in decades.
@Arsenal3609 , u do know UCLA new coach has only been there for 2 years right? And it's not like UCLA has been getting great recruits buddy for the last couple years.
Rick is about 20 yrs older, use some common sense and tell me if he might have a more mature approach to his job now? And I hate references to statistics without good analysis. Do you really believe the trend of an excellent 2nd season followed by a drop is applicable to UCLA? If so you have no idea about what has happened at UCLA and therefore ABSOLUTELY no idea what you're talking about...but glad to see you take the time to search for one of our big recruits, thanks for you interest!!
Pac 10 > Big 12. Enough arguing. Its fact. Look at how many championships we got, and look how many you got. We're called the conference of champions for a reason
@gdjmv keep dreaming...Ucla has produced more pro and Olympic athletes than any other University in the nation...currently, Ucla has the most ballers in the NBA, and has always produced a respectable pipeline of talent into the NFL and MLB...and trust me, Ucla's football program is on the up and up...give it another couple years and Ucla will be competing for a national title on a consistent basis...
Big 12 was actually pretty piss poor. but so was the Pac. difference is...this was a Pac 10 rebuilding year after they were miles above the Big 12 in 2008. next year should be another Pac domination. funny how the Pac 10 is consistantly the best conference in the nation...yet gets no love from the media. then when they're doing "good"...everyone says theyre the best when they actually aren't up to par.
@amyntage you mean a stat that's about how much money the school would bring to the game? a stat that isn't recognized by the NCAA? there's a reason why they call them "mythical national titles". the stats i'm talking about are the ONLY ones that matter...you know...head to head? winning percentage OOC, winning percentage against top 25 teams, bowl winning percentage, SOS, amount of BCS conference teams played compared to FCS and bad midmajors...the Pac kills the Little 12 in ALL of those.
better than suh? maybe better coming out of high school, but most 5 or 4 star recruits ends up flopping. am not saying this guy will, but his chances are better with a team that has a great defense.
I would definitely count that. You seem like a logical person so just pay attention. Like I said before if you were to compare the team he inherited at UCLA and the team he inherited at Colorado any blind man would be able to see that the talent he had on that Colorado team was way better than the talent that was at UCLA his first year. THE REASON IS BECAUSE KARL DORELL COULDNT RECRUIT WORTH A LICK. Put the last sentence in caps to make sure you read it this time and hopefully it registers
if you think he only has success in his first year, you're dumb. Don't go by his history with Colorado and UW. It's all about the present and Neuheisel inherited a not-so talented group with Karl Dorrell. You can't just assume he'll win immediately with a mediocre group of people.
@eKriZZLe, hmm.. yes like i said, take the National championships from both the big 8 + the Texas teams and then see.. the big 12 is only a 12 year old confernce. 4- BIG12- 19 (Oklahoma-7, Nebraska-5, Texas-4, Texas A&M-2, Colorado-1) 5- PAC10- 15 (Southern Cal-8, Cal-4, Stanford-1, Washington-1, UCLA-1) thats total national championships of each school in the Big 12, and pac 10. So ya.. nice try about that. maybe you should look up some stats.
@eKriZZLe hahahahaha naw u guys will never rebulied i saw the USC football dis year. Nebraska is comming back n will b making noise again better wacth out hahahaha.
Well I'm not going to count Ricks first year with the Bruins because he was taking over Karl Dorells crappy ass team. Dorell couldn't recruit worth a lick an he took over one of the worst teams ever assembled at Ucla
heels23fan.. Nebraska defense is terrible.?? We held Oklahoma Texas and V.Tech to basically nothing.. I believe the only team to score over 20 was Texas Tech.. I don't remember the last time Oregon had a defensive player almost win the heisman.?? Uhh.. Never.. So shut that up quickly,..
lol, please. Pac 10 was a freckin joke in 2009.. and if pac 10 is truely greater then the big 12, why is it that the pac 10s 2nd best team got its ass whooped by the big 12s 2nd best team? 33-0 is the final score if you don't remember. and Big 12 is a fairly new conference still. if you take the big 8 + the Texas conference teams that came into with the big 8 teams i almost gaurentee you that the big 12 would show more.
@Jeffword lol your crazy do the math before you talk big 12-19 , pac10-16 ,and they are split up in the big12 where as in the pac10 its all socal, u read it wrong its the conference of wannabe chapions
come to Nebraska!!!!!!!!!!! Our defense is made for a player like this!!!!!!!!!!
#1 in scoring defense, Greatest fans in college football!!! man you will love it!!
No, he did not go to the same school as Suh. Suh went to Grant HS, and Owa goes to David Douglas. Big difference.
Amen

come to nebrasska dude! bo pelini turned ndamukong suh into a stud in 2 yrs. u could be there for 3-4. u will be awesome!!! we need u man!!!
Both schools are on the east side of Portland, but they are not traditional rivals or anything. They don't even play in the same league. Grant plays in the Portland Interscholastic League while David Douglas (Owa's school) plays in the Mt. Hood Conference.

Go Big Red !!!
Yes I did mean offense. Their defense is amazing.
There's a lot of Husker fans on here. This guy looks like he would be a nice addition to the Black Shirts!
HUSKERS!!!
welcome to Westwood!!
Boom

go big red! come to nebraska
except for the fact that nebraskas defense had more snaps than alabama and texas and still held opponents to the least ppg
Tradition, #1 scoring defense, best defense in the country. UCLA cannot touch nebraska football. UCLA recruits very well too bad you havent won in decades.
@gdjmv what school are you playing at?
@conni70 That's so funny! You actually made me laugh, no joke.
@Arsenal3609 in what does nebraska own ucla exactly? is it there great academics? what about geographic region? Every other sport outside of football?
@Arsenal3609 , u do know UCLA new coach has only been there for 2 years right? And it's not like UCLA has been getting great recruits buddy for the last couple years.
@kafkaclone , price was the best in pac10, pac10 defensive player of the year
coach dan wood is fucking legit.
Rick is about 20 yrs older, use some common sense and tell me if he might have a more mature approach to his job now? And I hate references to statistics without good analysis. From Suuuuuuh! to Zuuuuuuuu!!

@Jeffword "WE" you mean USC????

yea maybe our weather sucks but our team doesnt which I cant say about UCLA
better than suh? maybe better coming out of high school, but most 5 or 4 star recruits ends up flopping. am not saying this guy will, but his chances are better with a team that has a great defense.
What ever the hell you say. Nebraska still is a better football program, and its a shame Owa is going to play for UCLA.
I would definitely count that. You seem like a logical person so just pay attention. Like I said before if you were to compare the team he inherited at UCLA and the team he inherited at Colorado any blind man would be able to see that the talent he had on that Colorado team was way better than the talent that was at UCLA his first year. @gdjmv if hes good enough to play pro ball he will regardless what his team does.
Hmmmmm he would look alot better in a Nebraska uniform....but you know 6-6 seasons are ok to
@simpleguy801982 It would take A LOT for this guy to be better than Suh.
Huskers man
if you think he only has success in his first year, you're dumb. Don't go by his history with Colorado and UW. It's all about the present and Neuheisel inherited a not-so talented group with Karl Dorrell. You can't just assume he'll win immediately with a mediocre group of people.

@Arsenal3609 , lol
