My fiance and I recently cancelled near every subscription we had as an exercise to see which ones we missed the most to add back. It's the nuclear option, but I like it. We ended up cancelling at least 4 for good! Feels so good.

I made it to the very last day of no eating out. I actually gave in for a good reason My central air conditioner died on us at the beginning of the week and it has been in the 90's inside the house and then I finally ran out of propane to cook out on the grill. So it was to the sub shop to get subs for the family. I am proud of us for making it that long. Cannot wait until the HVAC can get here to us to replace the unit. And yes it is a 26 year old unit and it is in fact in need of being buried.

Personal Mini Challenge DONE! Cancelled cable 6+ years ago! I am a HUGE football fan - my husband pays for a service so I can watch my football but we cancel as soon as the Superbowl is over. Plus I didn't buy any take out last week! I got ALL four WRONG in Hello Honey BUT I'm going to save $10 anyway!
A little savings tip with oil changes is go to a dealer and take your own oil and filter, you get to choose the quality of oil and filter you use which is often better than the ones used by places that do oil changes and they can't charge you for parts which have a massive mark up on them. I had two days where i spent on vending(take out) last week. I pay for subscriptions that i don't really use but my mom does we don't have cable so its how she watches her shows. Going to have to pause cause i have to go to work. Hello Honey Each glass is $2 and i saved $2 dollars today. 😞

Good morning 🌞 Since beginning cash stuffing I have been trying to practice a minimalist lifestyle. This has helped me live below my means and save. I picked a random number and saved $14 for each correct answer. Total of $42 for HH today. I missed last week's mini challenge because hubby and I were out of town all week. A few days ago he changed our direct tv plan. We realized we don’t watch all the channels we lost. So i guess this week's mini challenge is done! Happy 4th! Have fun with your kids! It's the first one we have off in forever (thanks to moving and changing jobs), so we plan on grilling out and watching some fireworks! See you next week!
I have not had cable in about 20 years, same reason as you. However my kids had different Disney videos to choose from or borrowed from my parents. I saved $20 this week.
I saved $5 with HH today. I had Direct TV and my bill was extremely high. I live in a rural area in SC that didn’t have internet. Well they finally laid down fiber last year so we could get internet. I canceled my Direct Tv (which was about $400 a month because they charge for every box) and now only have a $50 a month internet bill.Talk about a huge savings! Great video, thanks for sharing!
I love the color of the wall with that comforter! So pretty! I have been so into decluttering right now! I feel so much better the less I have! Also saving money because I don't buy anything I don't need.
Jenn you should get a digital antenna for the local channels. They are pretty cheap. They come in handy when you live in hurricane prone areas anyway. We had to get one when cable/internet was out for weeks after Michael.

I think I did pretty good with no eating out last week! We only ate out on Friday and usually, me and my husband eat out every day! I saved $20 for hello honey today and that was the last one I needed to color in! This weeks personal mini-challenge, my husband is going to hate! So we don't have cable at all but we have RUclips Premium, Netflix, and Crunchy Roll, and he refuses to get rid of them! 🤣❤️

My household completed the mini personal challenge for last week. We have been cable free for 3 years now. We love it. We have our subscriptions but it is way way less than our cable bill was.
Yikes! That Hello Honey got me! I lost everyone of them for a total of $4 ☹️ Since I want more to save, I did 3 rounds of Hi-Low for an extra $23. Total savings on Hello Honey is $27 😂 😂
Saved $31 for H.H. - 3 wrong at $7 each, and one correct for $10.
That seems like a high amount for just an oil change. That is about what I paid for an oil change and 3 new wipers a couple months ago.
That comforter is great all on its own, and really goes well with the acccent wall. Tones down the wall, and makes the coral in the comforter really pop.

Cut cable too many years ago to count. No streaming services at all. Do need to re-look at my other subscriptions and cancel at least 3 of them.... had done that last year but managed to sign up for a few more. Ugh.

I did $5.00 for correct answers and $10.00 for incorrect answers. You got me for $30.00! Yes, I got two correct and two incorrect!!! I have already challenged most of our tv scriptions! I kept RUclips tv and paramount, and bit rid of four more and still don't pay but a quarter of what my cable/satellite bill used to be, of course I live in a rural area and it was way to high at the time!
Hello Honey, was a total $10. Unfortunately take out was a nessacery evil - 2 trips to the ER for Hubby who has kidney stones as in 6 or more surgery is 1st of 2 is Monday. So a different type of fireworks for us this year 😮.

Jen, I actually reduced my streaming costs last month. I was paying 95$ a month and reduced it to 25. I don't miss it at all and I'm thrilled with the savings.

I had to watch in parts...ummmm $150 for an oil change is insane! I'm in SC (actually very close to April) & I paid $120 for an oil change, a set of wiper blades (those effers were like $30/piece) & a tire rotation...okay smoke show with the hair!!!! Seriously looks amazing you can't even tell you have Grey's.
I have a decent amount of subscriptions but I always renew around black Friday, I rotate emails and qualify new rates 😂 gotta game the system some times. I'm gonna find out how much I pay overall.

wow that is a lot, I paid $120 at the dealership last time, and I think dealerships charge more. I canceled cable ten years ago the price was just going up and up and there were no channels that justified keeping cable. Not long ago I had to have an oil change. I called my son to check with him about the amount. I thought it was high, but my son said $75.00 wasn't bad. That's here in Illinois. So your's may not be too bad. Thank you for sharing your ideas.

My HH was $30 ($5 for right answers and $10 for wrong ones). Not doing the challenge this week since we just dropped our cable from $80 a month and went with a new company for $50 a month. We are looking at what streaming services to disconnect since we aren't using all of them all the time.

Hi Jen I cut out cable and it has helped a lot. I also found that I would just sit and watch for hours! So I have more time for other things. I like your idea of cash stuffing for insurance. Give Utred a scrabble for me...he is so adorable! I love the color of the coral it is so cheery!

Good morning! I completed all 7 days of No Takeout, saved over $50! I don't have cable and had canceled my subscriptions 3 months ago. I still want to challenge myself this week so I'm not going to buy any books (I have 5 new books to get 😢). But I can do this! I simplified my saving challenge binders and reduced the amount of games. It was overstimulating and I couldn't finish any since I had so many going.
For HH, I saved $12 but as a bonus I doubled my winning for a total of $24!

Yes, I grew up with my brothers doing oil changes in the driveway. Florida person here too. Then they used to be 10 dollars. Now way over inflated with their prices.

I'm thinking that with all the money your taking out to pay yourself back you should put it into grocery fund since it's a big family weekend. It may help in the long run or not . Just a suggestion.
Vet bills are sooo pricey. My doodle dog got very sick. Took him to vet walked out with drops, antibiotics after blood work and urine test. 900$. No diagnosis& told he needs additional testing over 1 thousand$ if this didn't work. Had another appt for follow up to be added to that thousand. He's deteriorating so fast. Had another professional look over results. They say cancer. Wish I would have done this budgeting suff much much sooner. Things may have been different for him if I had.

I remember making homemade lemonade in Florida when I would visit my grandparents. We would pick them off the tree and they were the size of grapefruits! So different then lemons from the store up north.
I actually want a lemon tree because it reminds me of being a kid and going to my grandmas! So funny that you said that. Same for me! 💛
That's so neat! My grandma actually had a grapefruit tree and her neighbor had a lemon tree and when we came to visit she would trade with her so we could make lemonade.
Walmart has cheap TV antennas. Jason can watch local TV that way.

Hi Jenn! I love watching your videos and I love how explain cash stuffing to newcomers. I did have a question that I hope you could answer. I have been cash stuffing for about two months now and I’ve noticed that a lot of the cash stuffers have medical, car maintenance and Emergency sinking funds. If they already have car maintenance and medical sinking funds then what is the point of an emergency fund? If they are already saving for future accidents then what do they save the emergency fund for? (I hope this makes sense)

That's insanity! I used to work for a Honda dealership and it was $27 for a basic oil change. I would say due to inflation I may understand $50-$60 max!!

Hi Jen! I actually did the subscription review when I first started cash stuffing a year ago, but now that this is a challenge. I want to revisit this. I had no idea how many subscriptions I actually had until I did a spreadsheet of all the ones I had and forgot about. It was a great eye-opener for me. I saved $7 for HH. I did $2 for the ones I got right and $1 for the ones I got wrong. Oh and for our oil changes, ours run around $65/75. $142 seems pretty hefty!! Have a Happy 4th of July! ♥🤍💙
