Definitely solarium. What I would give for one of those. And to be honest just jealous of all your on site lovely surfaced schools. I currently have to hack up the road and rent a sand school. It’s unideal but it’s something :)
@@genzie3967 I guess it's all personal preference. I have documented much of my life at the yard and the team, coach, events and professionals that to me make it feel like home, go well above and beyond basic care and, in fact do make me feel very lucky indeed - regardless of the actual facilities. I guess that shines through in how I present it in comments and on my yard tour today 😁 I love my yard, and I do feel lucky to have the team who run it to support me.
Great use of the pivo but I also find it so hilarious when it goes " OH! SHes MOVING no never mind.. OH NOW SHES no... just waving her arms NOW SHE MOVING LETS MOOOVE AARGH " hahaha
That was so interesting and concise, you are such a great communicator, I wondered if that forms part of your job description, you're very good at interviewing too!! Woody is the best!! 😍
You should keep a thick saddle pad or half pad under your saddle on a rack like that otherwise your lovely saddle will have small collapses/indentations! So annoying when you’ve spent the amount of money it costs for saddler and new saddle😇😊love your videos!❤️❤️
So I know that you will probably not read this but I am going to say it anyway CONGRATULATIONS i know that you have been at this yard for a while but not everyone gets the chance to keep their horse at their dream yard so well done I know that you have worked hard to buy a horse and especially the amazing Woody and keep your horse at such a great yard. I was also wondering if you could do a video about preparing for a show and what to expect and the layout of the shows that you personally have gone to no worries if you don't want to I just think that it would benefit a lot of the people who follow and look at your channel and indeed myself.
Seriously jealous of where you keep your horse. Am grateful to have my horses where they are but the set up and the distance from my house is seriously hampering my goals. Edited to add that I am even more jealous of the fact that you had multiple options to choose from.
How did you find the step up to having your own horse after years of borrowing rides etc? In the next couple of years I'm looking to purchase my own once I finish with degrees etc but I'm terrified of it!
I think it's about being methodical and pragmatic. I went from sharing to full loan to owning. As part of your research, in my opinion you need to consider several things: 1. Your financials: can you afford a horse and under what conditions (eg type of livery, competing, a bad vet bill) - and would this change if your job changed? Could you still afford it? Crunch your numbers and get a sense of your options -I have a video on this from a few weeks ago 2. Your lifestyle - what do you actually have time for ? How would you fit it in? If this changes, how does your horse fit ? 3. Your passion - horses live for 30 years or so. Do you want to be an owner with that commitment ? Do you want to see a horse everyday ? It's also ok to realise that actually you'd rather have 4 lessons a week or a share than own your own
It was recommended to me by the tack shop who fitted it. I believe it helps to protect the shape and the little cubes that make up the protective layer, but I have reached out to Racesafe to get a full answer for you
Updated response from Racesafe. Yes it definitely helps protect the shape of the panels. If it’s going to be packed away for a long period of time and not be worn or packed flat then we would recommend it is stored inside out. On a day to day basis, if it’s being worn regularly and hung on a hanger, it is fine to be kept the correct way😊
To be completely honest I think it takes a year or longer to find out if a yard is generally good or not. People can be fake unfortunately and misleading people into think the standard of care is good when it not . If you find a good yard then you’re extremely lucky.
I would definitely agree that not all yards are good. This is, as always, a personal take and a personal experience. In the 8 months I've been a client there, (and the many months before that where I was a competitive visitor) I've seen and felt nothing but excellent care for both myself and my horse ❤️
Which part of the yard is your favourite? I have a soft spot for the solarium, but every time I ride in our big outdoor arena I feel so lucky 😍
The hacking in your videos / pics always looks amazing !! But probably that massive arena in this video! 😍😍😍 although I love the indoor/outdoor cabin!

I like the small outdoor
Love it when there is nature right up to the fence of the arena like in your small outdoor one.
I love tours like this…that little cottage was especially cute! 💜
Thanks for sharing as always
The yard is gorgeous!
We are super lucky ☺️
@@genzie3967 it's all a matter of taste and preference ☺️
@@genzie3967 well I think it amazing because it has some things that I don’t have at my barn.

🤣🤣 I like to keep my Pivo on her toes
You are so organised Rhi! But I spose that's thw best way to be really. Woody is gorgeous.
I do love a plan 🤓🤣 thank you - I love him more every day ❤️
What a nice yard 😍
A wonderful yard. You've got a good attitude to your horse 🐎 and passion for your riding.
Thank you Christopher ☺️
@@RidingWithRhi I ride every Sunday morning. I wish I could own my own horse just like you.

Thank you Elaine! It's not but I've always loved presenting / interviewing ☺️
Your videos are very informative. I have found them very useful. Thanks for the hard work you put into making them.
Thank you. That's so kind and I'm glad they are useful ❤️
I absolutely love your content :D Keep these up I love learning knew things about horses :))

It's a very fair point ! I shall look into it ☺️
Stunning yard! Your very lucky to have so many arenas!! X
We definitely are ! Spoilt rotten ☺️
Great facilities in your yard. Woody looked sleepy 😁
Haha I think he was! Having too many pony parties in the field at night I think 🤔
loved this video !!!
Cant wait to watch! x
let me know your favourite part!
@@RidingWithRhi Definitely the solarium! Wish we had one!

Hey Eloise - thanks for your kind words - love that idea. I can definitely look into a video on what to expect at your first show ☺️
Nice

Ahh distance is such a factor isn't it. I have to say if I were on DIY, factoring in the distance twice a day is a huge factor too.
You should try the PIVO class on dressage riders online competitions in one of your 20x40 arenas!
Ooh I didn't know they existed! I'll take a look
You have a wonder place for Woody. I know you will have told us but how old is Woody please. Xx
He's just recently turned 9 x

Why should you keep your RaceSafe inside out?

Hi, I am a student at surrey. Do you by any chnace offer riding lessons ?
I do not, i'm a private individual. I would only recommend attending a reputable, registered riding school.
