We visited Georgia in June 2017. In this video we describe a part of our journey - a trip from Tbilisi to Kazbegi along the Georgian Military Road, how it is better to get to Kazbegi, where to stop along the way and what to do in the mountains. We went to Kazbegi with a guide by car, so we had a great opportunity to stop in the interesting and beautiful places of the Georgian Military Road. Mtskheta and Jvari, Zhinvali reservoir, Ananuri fortress, Gudauri, the Russia-Georgia Friendship Monument, Sno village - we turned the trip from Tbilisi to Kazbegi into an adventure. After that we spent 3 more days in the mountains of Kazbegi, walked up to the Trinity Church in Gergeti and even higher, visited the Dariali Gorge and Gveleti waterfall, and when the weather turned bad, we spent all the time in hotel, but it did not upset us at all, because the view of the mountains from the Rooms Hotel Kazbegi is fascinating in any weather!

i want to live in georgia for a whole year i feel like it’ll be too little just to stay for a week or a month. i fell in love with this country from what i’ve heard from my siblings who’ve been there 2 years ago. and i can’t wait to discover every corner there.

زرناها في نفس العام 2017. في سبتمبر وكانت من أروع الرحلات ...وقمنا بنفس خط الرحله الذي قمتم به ...القلعه والنهر والتفاصيل الأخرى...حتى وصلنا إلى كازبيجي...كانت رحلة جورجيا رائعه بكل المقاييس...لم نواجه اي مشكله ولله الحمد الا بموضوع الاكل ...كنا نبحث دائما عن الاكل الحلال الخالي من منتجات الخنزير ومن الخمر ....غير ذلك كانت رحله موفقه والحمد لله

Hi, I'm from Georgia. Just saying, that's not the only hotel in Kazbegi.
There are more hotels on the mountains of Kazbegi and it's really nice as long as you like the outdoors and have an extra pack of warm clothes!

My sister been there in Georgia after 2 weeks you uploaded. Stayed there for 3 days and Georgia is such a beautiful nation once everyone must visit. But sadly her trip didnt went well cuz she needed to depart from tbilisi urgent due to grandma's death here in between of trip :'(

The Rooms is not the only hotel in Kazbegi. May be it is only most expensive one - that's true. There are several 3 and 4 star hotels with good accommodation and service as well as big number of pretty nice guest houses.
hi, did you always hire a car with a driver? can you please help me and advise what is the best way to travel in georgia? i am planning a trip with my parents. do you think it would be best to rent a SUV for the whole trip? are the roads manageable for european drivers? or should we hire a georgian driver? thanks a lot
jablkova strudla hi, to tell the truth it’s better to rent a car with the driver, because the locals drive too aggressive and sometimes messy. You can take taxi with driver whenever you need to go from one town to another, for example from Tbilisi to Kazbegi, and then in Kazbegi there would be a lot of taxies to visit places around. Everywhere in Georgia there are a lot of taxies, but the moment you should pay attention to - is to ask the driver to drive quite and safe:)

It depends on how high on the mountains you will get, if you walk much higher than Gergeti church, probably you’ll still find some :)

Very important Warning .... Most of people from Arab counties has hate to travel to Georgia because there are many passengers from Oman, Dubai, Sudi, Qater, Kuwait ... etc have travelled to Georgia but the officer of Airport of Georgia has informed these passengers that not allowed to enter Georgia so the officer said to passngers to go back to same aircraft to their country ... without any reason. Espically it is not required Visa from these countries according to the relealtionships in both counteies. So in each aircraft the officer has to return back from 5 to 10 passengers but other passengers said no problem.
If Georgia Government use this system then there are a lot of countries in the world better than Georgia.
Please dont travel to Georgia at all.
