- We head to the Mothership of Pivot cycles in Phoenix Arizona...and you can too if you want to Demo one of their awesome bikes straight from the HQ door!
Im honestly so stoked and happy I ride for this amazing company regardless if they pay me or not. I've been with them 12 years now and it really is an honour to ride such great bikes and represent so many amazing people behind this bicycle brand.
I hope this gave you a nice little insight into Pivot cycles and what actually goes into getting these bikes out on the trails and smiles on so many peoples faces!
Chris Cocalis has believed in me for a long time and I can't thank him and this whole crew enough for what they do.
I hope you enjoy sports fans and try a Pivot if you get a chance!

Thanks for putting together this video. It was great to have you guys visit the finished office!
The engineering and technology that goes into the concept, development and production is nothing short of amazing. When people talk and balk about the cost of bikes, they only see an end product, not what it takes to put it all together with the talent, machines and overhead. Great tour Bernard.
BK represents the Pivot bikes so amazingly well. Best in the business!
*Just an awesome **Latest.Bike** ....well constructed, sturdy, great looking…got me back out on the trails!! Could not be happier!!*
No wonder Chris has you onboard, one of the best brand ambassadors going👍
Bernard Kerr has to be the best ambassador you could want for a medium big company as Pivot. AND he makes me want to get a Pivot-Bike!!
BK, I love how much you love Pivot and riding their bikes and bikes in general. The joy is lovely to watch.
Awesome , loved the tour , access all areas , great to see all the passionate staff , thanks Bernard Chris and co 👍
Started on a Mach 6 and now on the new Firebird. I can honestly say the bike has helped me build my confidence. Amazing bikes.
Superb content guys , love these vlogs that go behind the scenes . Bill is clearly worth his weight in gold to Pivot .
Great video! Thanks for taking the time Chris that was very cool to see! Bill’s the man! 👌🏼
Bought a Shadowcat for my wife before I saw this video. Now I like her bike even more, knowing who built it and what went into the build!
Wow we take all these bikes for granted, but the process is amazing. Thanks for showing us what a great brand pivot is.
So interesting looking at how much work goes into each bike and as for Bill in engineering, what a human, an absolute genius, i sure hope he is paid well for his knowledge and know how.
What a rad setup. Crazy ass technology..Bill is an engineering master.
Time to start saving for a Pivot shuttle me thinks. Great vid..you're a natural on cam
Pivot bikes=top quality! Wish they came up with a longer travel Shuttle though!
This is a really great HQ tour. Thanks!
Loved it. Great bikes, great company. 🤟
Amazing..... The research and dev department is so good.
Cool video! Love my '22 Pivot switchblade, bass boat blue so fun!! Thanks Chris for doing this video. You're are so smart and low key. Impressive! Pivot cycles #1
Awesome video. Good to see how everything is done in house. I would like to hear the history of Pivot Cycles.
Great ambassador for the brand👏🏻
So sweet. Having worked with Raleigh on their Team Dyna Tech bikes (I still have one) many years ago (I'm 62) it's cool to see how the industry has changed. Wish I could afford one though .. ;)
Great video Bernard. Nice to see where my bike was made, too.
Really glad you went into some of the mould-making details. I remember when Titus were at the peak of their power a friend of mine saying that if Chris had touched it, then it was going to be 'done right'. He seems to have much more drive on the engineering side of things than other bike CEOs and this shows by how they've obviously taken absolute control of the design process - nothing left to chance. Soooo many details involved in a modern carbon bike.
Kudos all round!
That makes a lot of sense... can think of other companies where founders are more marketing/biz type guys. Having engineering leadership is big.
Awesome video love to see the process and development.
Very interesting seeing how things are made behind the scenes
Yeah Boy! Good seeing ya
Damn pivot hq is sick. That reception/ welcome area looks so good. The frames on the wall and display bikes! 🤘🤘 So rad. Also the wall of racing stuff is sick, good to see the past and see how it's going
Wow some of those bikes look lovely
Bought a new 2022 firebird after watching PFR guys ride them. First Pivot bike and loving the company so far!
Fascinating!
what an actual TEAM looks like!
So epic. Great content
That was very cool to see 👊
Those Pivot dudes need some beers!
I loved this video so much!! it made me want to work somewhere like that :))
Love that picture of Mike Hall in one office 👍
Cool vlog, cool peps, cool company
Nice vid! Close to home, my playground just 10 minutes away, bummed you didn't ring me. 😃
I really enjoyed this video. A while ago, when I was looking for career opportunities after my PhD in Robotics, I wasn't sure where to work honestly. I ended up in research, but I think if I had seen this I would have been interested in working on bikes more. I like seeing the 3D printed work going on. It doesn't look scaled up yet, but as supply chains get stressed, I suspect more investment there could speed thing up a bit for Pivot (you can 3D print more than frames as well).
If you don’t already know, Atherton bikes handmake and 3D print all their bikes. Really interesting work that they do, definitely worth having a look at if you’re intrigued!
wow!!!!
the most interesting mtb video in a while!
Great tour indeed.
Great video Sir
That bug that attacked the camera 😂.
Got to say! Bernard even you were blown away by the new processes of carbon printing! And it was really interesting so cheers. How many years ahead are Pivot prototyping parts??? Also how long you been managing/riding the Pivot team in Europe? Oh and the Pivot Shuttle was the best E Bike I rode! By a good length. Keep up the LSD and thanks for the quality content.
great upload
ta
What a beautiful shoes my friend. How i wish to have that one...
Now I know why my Switchblade was so expensive! Impressive facility!!
As above etc for all the awesome comments on the set up, technology, R&D, assembly and manufacturing. Awesome place. But … ok here it is … as someone that works in the building industry I found it really disappointing from a user point of view around their “space and place” and a nice place to work. Lack of natural light, offices tucked down corridors, no eye relief to out doors etc. I would have thought this kind of place could be reimagined somewhat as a really cool place to turn up to work that you would really relish the environment. There’s good design for buildings too people! Keep up the awesome work.
Sick!
Top Tour
Bills workshop is an Aladdin's cave! unreal.
Take Chris and Barney out to ride Hawes next time! Used to be my local trails when I lived in PHX. Lots of new gnarnia out there.
I just rode SOMO I parked at Pima Canyon and I have no idea how to start where you did from the west side.. I am in phoenix til April stoked to see this other side of the mountain.. I wan't check out the Pivot HQ too.. My pivot shreds so hard in AZ!
Still rocking the 2016 Mach 6 carbon and Moving thé beast. Pivot biles are so kick arse
Loved my Mack 6...
Selling it to get my 1st 2021 Mach 4 SL
Yes lad u should go to wind hill or bike park Wales
I NEED one of those straw hats!!
Well actually I could do with a firebird too
Cool to see behind the scenes. Bummed the new Shuttle still doesn’t have a drink bottle cage. That’s a deal breaker for me!! 😔
That's the biggest rosin press I've ever seen !!
Could you do a video on your hardtail pivot bike build?
My next bike!😊
Bernard, you Leatt now? sick!
Welcome to the desert!
😍🤩😍
19:07 - as an adventure tour company owner who has been trying to get parts for my bike fleet for far too long, this is a real feelsbadman moment.
niiiiiiiiice vid
35:22 Any bikes available for Sedona Mountain Bike Fest ? I'll be coming from Canada, would save me alot of trouble to not have to bring my bike as im going to florida after lol
Some of those offices could do with a window
Thanks for the tour !! Proud to part of the journey ! just a little tips, next time you film with artificial light like inside the office, try to setup your gopro in 24fps and not 60fps you'll have less banding screen due to the frequency of the light 😉
Is there some kind of low, against windows at office workplaces, in the us? Seems like working under ground, if there is no daylight 👀
Yes
@crankbrothers Are the shoes available at 0:33? The colors are Awesome
👌🔥🙌x
I love how the engineering dept has to stare at the 2 ends of the spectrum all day. XC vs Grim Donut! HAHA. WOW so different since I visited a few years ago.
This is super cool, what I could do with access to that equipment, could show you if you like?
what bag was barney wearing at the airport?
That color is called Kamorra Grey. 😉
Was hoping to see it all in person soon.. But, it wasn't meant to be..
Quite the shed. 😏
Any chance of a hand me down when you get your new ones 😆 first again
Funny that the grim donut just looks like a Privateer 161
What trail is that
Where is all the demo Phoenix dh bikes?
The Mach 5.5 is the best I reckon
That Fly @ 07:10 hahahahah #Flycam
5:03 green firebird?
It might be in the comments I tried to read them all but can some one tell me the trail they rode in this it looks amazing
I gotta trade Mondraker for a Pivot machine one day 🤘🏽
Great Tour! How do you buy a demo bike?
Look under the demo sales tab on the Pivot home page. Bikes sell super fast tho..
@@AquaticBaboon didn’t see a demo sales tab. Thanks for trying to assist
People not too happy they had to come into the office
Still no sight of a threaded bb
We do I send a pic of my Exceptional color combo for your bike?
Yooo sports fan, it's your boi BK🤌🔥🔥 new intro haha. Keep the LSD goin 🙌
Great bike , rides smooth ruclips.net/user/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L I added a bigger spring loaded seat to it . Takes a bit of adjusting cables to get brakes and shifting to perfect . I've owned quite a few bikes in the past that were absolutely uncomfortable to ride and they always ended up as garage wall decor . I'm not seeing that with this one. It's pretty light I've only ridden it a few miles but I like it . As for the pedals falling off in the other reviews , the pedal arms are aluminum along with the pedal studs look to be also . I would not overtighten them. I can see it would be very easy to overtighten them and strip the threads right off . All in all I think it's pretty good quality besides the aluminum pedal thing .
So sad that you arent with fly anymore.
Hey Pivot. Drop the press fit BB.
I need a job with pivot
Omg this has actually made me want to immediately go out and buy a Pivot bike! Now all I need to do is sell a kidney and one of my kids.
I think if you look at lifecycle (see what I did there) cost - and you ride 2-3 times a week (or more) - you get an awesome experience for a great value. I had a 2003 Scott Ransom for 13 years and it was stolen. I got a Mach 5.5 and I giggle every time I ride. Incredible machine. I’ve had it for 5 years and it is still amazing. Getting a bit older so the Shuttle is in the cross hairs.
I only have one kid. 2 kidneys though. ;) Buy!
Cacticices is I believe the proper pronunciation.
