While switching on fans, ACs, tube lights, coolers and a lot of appliances at home we never realise that the electricity that we are using has come to us after being through a long process of its generation from water, coal, air or sunlight. It is a known fact that India is the world's third-largest producer and third-largest consumer of electricity. The team of The Lallantop visited a thermal power plant named Talwandi Sabo Power Ltd. in Mansa, Punjab, to make you aware of the electricity generation process. Watch the video to know what all happens inside a thermal power plant, who all are involved in the electricity generation process and how do different departments coordinate with each other.

Bro do you have Power Plant subject in your syllabus??? coz as far as I know in Electrical Engineering , Thermodynamics and Heat & Mass Transfer related subjects (Thermal subjects) are not taught and Power Plant subject requires basic knowledge of Thermo & HMT.

How to join
Understanding how a power plant works is one thing but making others understand (especially when your audience base is very diverse comprising of people from different strata of life) in a simplified layman's term is something very difficult which this young engineer has done it beautifully. i am also working as boiler operation engineer in coal thermal power plant at Tribeni, on the bank of river Hooghly, West Bengal. it's really amazing to see the whole process in youtube. there are two more segment in a power plant to elaborate
1. turbine & it's auxiliary equipments
2. generator & transformer protection, relay, metering & synchronisation process with power grid.
Yes should have covered synchronisation at least in 1-2 lines considering how critical it is when connected to grid.
