Hello my Friend. I have never been to Poland. Thanks for sharing this lovely walking tour. Great views of the lovely buildings, landscapes and people out and about. Have a great week.🙂🙂

Wrocław - an old Piast city, already the largest city in former Poland, then beautifully rebuilt and developed by Poles, Germans, Czechs and Austrians in the Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo styles, etc.. In 1945 it experienced a total disaster - demolished by the Russians and Germans (the latter - on Hitler's orders, transformed the city into a "fortress"). The city center was annihilated during the war and the Russians - after driving the Germans out - deliberately destroyed many of the surviving buildings. The barbarity and cruelty of these struggles can be proven by the fact that the animals kept in the old (the German authorities of the city of Breslau established it in the mid-19th century) Wrocław Zoo scattered around the city and - to protect the inhabitants - the predators were killed by Wehrmacht soldiers. Horrible! In 1945, Poles regained Wrocław and carefully rebuilt the city; The Poles did something similar to Wrocław as they did to completely destroyed Warsaw or Gdańsk. Most of them were Poles who had previously lived in Lviv and its surroundings. (The Soviets expelled these Poles from their homes!) Currently, Wrocław is the third largest city in Poland - in terms of the number of inhabitants it "loses" only to Warsaw and Krakow. Wrocław is a city that has unlimited development opportunities and will continue to grow!
