Great video honouring a great actor. Amazing collection. I am slowly trying to add more James Stewart titles as I enjoy his films and work so much. I just watched No Highway in the Sky, it is a really great film. He’s at his usual best in it. Great performances from Marlene Dietrich and Glynis Johns as well.

Mr. Smith goes to Washington. They used to constantly show that on free TV one of my favorite Frank Capra films. And of course, Jimmy Stewart was brilliant in that movie. Simple story but very powerful.

Fantastic collection of films, Jon. I've definitely added a few to my list to check into. Also, this is such a fantastic resource as there are just so many movies to hunt down. You know I'm working on a complete Bette Davis and Joan Crawford collections and the one thing that stands out to me is just how many movies they all did back then. Like you said, you're at 29 and not sure if you're at the halfway mark. They just worked and worked. LOVE the fast fwd edits 😂😂😂😂 perfect. I'd love to have a complete James Stewart collection myself but I have a ways to go. Two of my favorites are Rope and Philadelphia Story. Two classics but there are so many more to search out and enjoy. Thanks so much for sharing your collection. These are some of my favorite videos on your channel.
You’re absolutely right. The amount of work they were putting out in those early decades of film is absolutely staggering. What’s crazy is that you’d think with them putting out so many movies they would be all junk films, but they were making classic after classic. I recently watched The Mortal Storm because I had heard it was one of the only studio films to be critical of Nazi Germany made before Pearl Harbor in 1941. It was really good... Hope you enjoy it too!
