This is what happens when you cater to the high rollers. I use to get lots of comp’s go 3 times a year it became to expensive for me. I would stay 2, 3 nights when it opened up it became to expensive for regular people. Don’t understand why it didn’t work like Vegas bad management all around. It will make a come back I hope
When I first came to AC, lots of bus traffic. I initiated my A.C. experience with the Sands. After initiating my association with the Resorts . . . Sands expired. Resorts was the first,, back in the 1970's . . . they remain vibrant, today . . . with some great culinary add-ons ! Moved down to my first Harrah's experience - further up the boardwalk, however. . Showboat soon expired. As a result of elevated player rating . . . I partook in free transport, to other Ceasar's Entertainment properties - Harrah's, Ceasars & Bally's . . . with regularity. Upon the opening to gaming properties closer to D.C., I traveled not so far. Ergo, I'm jus a classic example wherein A.C. must recreate itself . . . once again. Haven't been to A.C. in five years. I've heard that the Ceasars Entertainment shuttle take ALL players to all Ceasar's properties.. Guest one must change . . . with the times !
The boardwalk was pretty dead. But it was pretty cold when we went. Ceasars and Tropicana was pretty live. But the boardwalk itself was dead and most of the stores were closed. I would definitely go again but not in the spring.
Have a great time... Weather was good and luv the boardwalk. Make sure your hotel is nearby. I booked one with a 15 minutes walk. Very tiring. Next time I'll spend the extra cash on a hotel very near the boardwalk. Enjoy :-)
"Gold Tooth Gerties is BACK - in Atlantic City... Pizza... Boardwalk Fries... Chicken Wings... DOLLAR DOGS!!! And MORE..." I was hoping to hear that on here. :-(
its like a surreal science fiction nightmare from the future..so many things to do but no one wants to do anything.. so many unhappy people.. they should separate the casinos from the boardwalk area
@@charlesfinke6770 Exactly. I'm not sure why there are people saying how dead AC is and how there is never anybody there. I go a few times a year and it is ALWAYS busy. No matter if its the middle of summer or the dead of winter.
If anyone ever played Bioshock infinite this place is just like the bad areas in the game. There was an arcade that had a bunch of the same crane games
I was there two weeks ago . Atlantic City in my eyes is nothing but a dump.i can’t believe my eyes I have been going there since the 80’s .greed from the owners instead of making it like a family gathering like Vegas they did nothing 3 casinos went out of business revel, trump plaza, tan mahal and showboat.don’t bother going there the casinos look like a senior citizen center from Florida shame on casino owners. 8000 people without jobs.over19 percent unemployment ., the highest in the country and high crime. What a shame
Atlantic City used to a vacation capital. Now its just and empty shell. Take a look at videos from the 50s and 60 or even earlier and see the difference. All those classic hotels...gone. Now its just dead.
Thanks for sharing. :) I go down to Atlantic City for a week every June and I enjoyed watching this very much.

so sad to see the boardwalk almost empty, when we use to go before all the closings, it was always so crowed, thanks for the video
Ballys is over due for remodeling and new and friendly staff. btw, great video. quality and definition.
my favorite was the Taj Mahal, sure will miss it. The boardwalk use to be wall to wall people, can't believe how empty it is.
Great video, mate... thanks for sharing

Jaysen Platinum wow thanks man I'm trying to figure out to stay at Caesar's or Bally's
I will get there August 1st just curious if you got any help on this
I recommend a hotel away from the boardwalk. Alot cheaper. I stayed at empire inn
showboat is not closed now and the news it was opening was known when you posted this.
Yes but the casino is closed. Now it's a hotel. Might give it a try.
is any of it zoned residential??
Wild Wild West . . . those were the good ol' days ! Ceasars Entertainment closed down ! 🎭😱😵

if you like being alone this is the perfect place its a great place to hide in for explorers
I hope this town gets rid of all of the casinos cause their all a bunch of thieves and no one ever wins !!
@Stellar Pepsi Please don't get rid of the casinos! Atlantic City is just like Vegas on the East Coast.

Sands was 1st, to go . . . Trump followed with multiple properties, since ! 😱
AC in 2017 is dead. You would have more fun partying in a morgue.
Have you ever been there on a weekend? Or are we living in two different universes?
