In CS604 p (practical ), is only lab manuals sufficient for cracking the subjective part?
Yes, the only syllabus for the lab you've covered during the semester. Go through the functions, and code snippets once the underlying concepts have been reviewed properly. Wish you good luck dear.

Take the assumption that the system is suffering from thrashing. Now, at this level, the degree of multi-programming should be decreased to minimize the executive paging activity and let the system carry out some productive tasks and process executions. However, in the case when the CPI utilization is too low before thrashing has actually occurred, this is the point where OS should introduce multi-programming to allow more executions, utilizing the system's resources to an optimal level. But once the optimal point has been crossed, then the degree of multi-programming should not be increased more, as the system is already suffering from thrashing. Hope it has clarified now. Thanks

Dear student, don't worry. In such a short time, you can do a few things to get through this subject.
1. Review this file 2-3 times, and a few other MCQs but make sure that only those MCQs considered/understood are from the CS604P syllabus.
2. If you're good at coding, then review and code a few selected labs that you can easily cover. Let me know if I can help in selecting those with you, but it has some risks involved too you should consider.
Since you have already attempted the exam, you have a clear idea of what types of questions you faced, now prepare yourself to attempt all those. Feel free to revert if you still have any confusion. Wishing you good luck
