On my Nissan ns70a2 (actually a tohatsu 70) I found the main jet laying in the bottom of the bowl, carbs were clean otherwise but I can't believe it got up on plane and ran like that! Anyway another free fix I just screwed it back in...

Also side note, brought my bigger boat with EMM fuel injected and stuff i cant do without software. They charged me 400$ just to diagnose it. 1 days work😡 thats why i try to do everything myself
I am trying to figure out my problem i have a johnson 60hp 1996 model I started it up the first time and couldn't run only on choke then I got carbs and cleaned them out and put them on and started up running good went to test the reaction and middle cylinder is not reacting im trying to find the problem and I can't find it I need some help. I've had the same problem with another outboard but couldn't find the problem.
I pulled all there of mine off today one by one and the engine did not shut off on any of them. So are you telling me my motor is running pretty good with a little sneeze with no cylinders firing up?
Tohatsu outboard does not get gasoline into the cylinders. The injector, ecu, spark plugs are intact. When I pour gasoline into the pistons, it works a little. When you press the starter, oily gasoline comes out of the exhaust. Greetings from Turkey..
Greetings from Minnesota. It sounds as if you are not getting a spark in each cylinder. I would check the spark plugs, wires and coils. I have a much longer video where I try to figure out a similar condition. Turns out it was the gas filter that was full of sludge and maybe water... I'll post the link.
@@mbrenengen In this engine, apart from the normal injector, there is also an air injector. I do not know how to control the air injector. The compressor is very good. What does air injector do? Could the cause of the malfunction be the air injector? Thank you very much.
@@djemdubb Same here, gave me anxiety when I saw him reaching with bare hands lol. I had rubberized plyers and rubber gloves on and it still arched around the glove and shocked me.

I had the same problem with my suzuki 9,9. i opened it up and the coil was loose, i tightened the bolt and boom it was running purfect!

SO IF YOU TAKE YOU WIRE OFF YOU MOTOR SHOULD STOP, WHAT IF YOUR NUMBER 1 CYLINDER SHOCK YOU IS THE WIRE BAD OR THE COIL
It won't necessarily so running. If you got shocked then that is good evidence that one is making spark. Try another wire.

you got more gonads than i got...no way will i grab a spark plug wire while the engine is running. one time was enough!!!
