+Hunter Cullen (ilovepolice1) I have been thinking about doing that, but it may be some time before I do. I was thinking about system sensor speaker strobes
I have an NFW-50 (MS-9050UD) and cannot get my NGB-12LX to activate the panel after being programmed. Do you know why this might be happening? Also, does the Johnson controls BG101X or whatever it is (adressable bg-10 rebrand) work with the 9050?
Hey i am a long time viewer and was wanting to know if its possible for me to run a small system off of a ademco vista 20 security panel and if so how?
Do you have any idea how i could run a 12v voice evac amplifier of a 24v panel? i'm thinking of using a buck converter but I think that might affect the supervisory circuit.
oh goodness, i bet you almost had a heart attack when you smelled something burning inside the fire alarm panel haha. I just ended up powering it from a separate power supply and just used the panel to monitor the circuit.
Nice! Great test
Well, at least we now know that the messages have a priority index.
When it says attention it sounds like the simplex voice
Because it is. He put two of them together.
Nice!
The security system voice it Siri
You should get a mass notification strobe (blue, amber, etc), so that you won't have to see the white strobe off while it's doing mass notification.

The voice Evac sounds good

I could not get the Johnson Controls module to work with the MS-9050UD or the ES-50X. Only FireLite or Notifier branded modules (from my experience).
Nice! Subbed!

Is it connected to a monitoring station? If so, you shouldn't.
no its not connected to a monitoring station.
Yes a youtuber by the name DoverDucy has a system running off of a security panel. Go see some of his video's on it. They are a little older.
did you really hook it up to the fire department?
yes I did
wow that's very professional!! and cool!

+FireAlarmNZ How much current do you expect is going to that? I would say use a voltage regulator but many of those have a 1.5 amp limit
+tornadofreak1994 I'm only drawing a 10w load so that's 0.7 amps @13VDC will the voltage regulator cause a trouble on the panel?
+FireAlarmNZ it should not. but if you use a voltage regulator, if you draw above the rated amps, the regulator might explode (its happened to me lol)

+FireAlarmNZ nice! thats the safer way. and it actually made my panel 100% stop working. I replaced it and it works again!
