- Just in time for Halloween! Today we integrate the LEGO Monster Fighters Haunted House 10228 onto a baseplate. This is such an amazing set that looks really good in a LEGO city setting. However, the original design does not include a baseplate and it needs some modifications. So we searched Rebrickable and found the perfect MOC to do so!

What an interesting design, I initially thought "they're just going to substitute the plates for a baseplate" a bit like what people do when they convert modular to MILS, but the idea of having the Haunted House on minifig stands tapped to a baseplate is genius, it allows you to unpluck it whenever you want to open it! That's another great design you've found again on Rebrickable. Nice job
It is a beautiful set - sits perfectly with the modulars, sooo much better than the current massively overpriced haunted house, inside and out (I think the inside is highly imaginative).
The reason they didn't have a base plate is because it swings open, and so can't be fully pinned down. Goes well with the series 14 minifigures, which came out at the same time. To me the challenge was to sit it on a base plate while also letting it swing open - It swings to the rear so this is relatively easy. I also did not adjust the rear exit and stairs - kept it exactly as per specs - and if you do this, the model is exactly one base plate wide, however the round parts of the hinge bricks overlap the base plate. My model ended up much like yours minus the brown fences and some of the pinning plates.
Such a lovely set, I still remember it from my early years of getting into lego and not being able to get it. Some day that’ll change. 🤞

This is the one set I’m really kicking myself now I never got because I didn’t get into Lego til earlier this year. I really really hope Lego re-releases this Set again or have another haunted house set to come out in the near future.
I have this set, it’s one of my favs. 😍I want to transfer it onto a baseplate, this video has helped a lot. 🤗 I wish I had your stash of bricks and pieces to rummage though! 😂
It looks way better than before. Good job! I personally would get rid of the police station right now and not wait for something else to out there. Another thing I wonder every time you show the zoo and the farm: Aren´t the areas too small for what you want to build there?

Its funny that i randomly decided to watch this video And Its halloween too(even thought in my country we don't celebrate halloween,but in my country we has "dušičky"(we visit the graves of the deceased family member, lights candles by the grave,...)(btw my country Is Czech republic in heart of Europe )

Spooky, looks great on the baseplate. You could display it inside the front door so the little kids can see it on trick or treat night. (although we all know they are just interested in the candy 😆.

Maybe some dead or alive bush infront of the gate on the pathway could make the build pop more
