Aftershock Defeat Legends
Aftershock were victorious against Legends 11-8 on Thursday at Walnut Creek Intermediate School.
A walk by Emily G put Legends on the board in the top of the first.
Aftershock flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring five runs on three hits to take a 5-1 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a home run to right field by Sydney M that drove in two.
Legends tied the game in the top of the third thanks to a ground out by Marlena A, and an error.
Aftershock jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the third inning after Kora P singled, Hailey S grounded out, and Aftershock scored on a passed ball, each scoring one run.
Kora led things off in the circle for Aftershock. They surrendered three hits and five runs (two earned) over three innings, striking out five and walking two.
Fiona T led things off in the circle for Legends. They surrendered five hits and seven runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking four.
Camryn M appeared in relief for Aftershock.
Aftershock piled up nine hits in the game. Kora, Sydney, and Leah B each collected two hits for Aftershock. Hailey and Sydney were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Aftershock. Aftershock had a strong eye at the plate, piling up eight walks for the game. Hailey and Camryn led the team with two bases on balls each.
Hailey, Harper A, Kora, Evie C, Camryn, ano Sydney each stole multiple bases for Aftershock.
Aftershock stole 17 bases in the game.
Marlena led the team with one run batted in.
Isabella F led Legends with two hits in two at bats.
Emily paced Legends with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying eight walks for the game. Isabella, Ellie B, Francesca A, Reagan R, Fiona, and Lila J each stole multiple bases for Legends. Legends stole 27 bases in the game.
Aftershock welcome Martinez on Monday for their next game.
