Though he’s part of an idol group, it is an actors group, that also does other things sometimes like Kpop groups sometimes branch out in acting. It’s the first ever actor idol group in South Korea. They did receive some training in singing and dancing and released some songs, but their main focus and talent has always been in acting.

Your comment got me thinking...I've always thought that Korean music sounds a lot lighter. Like they don't sing from their diaphragm. But I wonder if it's because I don't understand the language? It would be very interesting to listen to the songs & be able to understand. For example, I have a version of a John Mayer song that Rose from BlackPink sang on my playlist that I think is beautiful. But I also think she sounds different than other KPop artists (wasn't she raised in Australia as well as Korea?) & I don't listen to BlackPink's music. Admittedly, I don't listen to KPop a lot but I've heard it here and there.
