    "Difficulty" is a relative term that holds different meanings for players with different preferences, tolerances and aptitudes. What is obviously a joke to you and your friend would probably be "Hell on Earth" to others who do not and may never have the competence and confidence y'all displayed here. Therefore, it's important to allow for varying and adjustable difficulty options in order to accommodate more players, whose play styles will likely evolve over time. That said, the ceiling for the game settings in question should be much higher for players like yourselves. Wish I had your lock picking skills!

      I agree with what you're saying. As a server owner, I should be able to create an environment that is challenging for my community. With these new restrictions, I can not do this anymore. The difficulty had been severely limited, i enjoy an intense survival server, but since the recent update, I can not provide that challenge anymore. My question is, why did they need to cap it in the first place? If a server is too hard for somebody, they find another one. Now, the ceiling for the challenge is lowered significantly, causing many experienced players to be bored, like myself.
      I'm more or less asking for more customization to make it more difficult as it was in the past. I could change puppet damage and health, but I aim for immersion, and having somebody punch you and kill you in 1 hit is unrealistic.
      Keep practicing lockpicking, I've been out of the game for a long time now, and I'm rusty, but practicing tapping F as many times as you can before the lockpick breaks is going to make you better. Keep trying for more and more taps. Once you get 8+ on a gold, you are good to go. Obviously, there is more to it, but that's a big factor.

      @@palfy205 An excellent question, and it's one that definitely needs to be answered by Gamepires, who continue to act upon what can be accurately described as "an unnecessary and misguided inclination to dictate how everyone plays their game". To their credit, they have indeed allowed for a significant degree of gameplay customization for single players and server owners; Loot, puppets, mechs, body simulation speed, trader settings, etc. However, this tendency to dictate the terms of our experiences continues to rear it's ugly head in the form of untested and unvetted features and mechanics being recklessly unleashed into the ether, often causing rampant outrage and confusion until critical mass is reached and a collective call for change inevitably comes. With current competition still being well ahead in terms of participation numbers and new, more advanced competition on the horizon, Gamepires can ill afford to "f#ck around and find out" with this sadistic and cyclical pattern of development, so I hope we'll have better results in the future!
      Appreciate the tips! I've heard of this "feathering technique" but haven't put in the time and effort to master it yet. Perhaps, it's time!

    I really hope that's just a temporary workaround to get rid of popcorn puppets until they have something better up as they stated in the forum.
    LTZ are now ghost towns :/

      Even ABs are dead zones now, I get bored even quicker now as I can't just max the difficulty and try Rambo it as long as I can.

    Hi Palfy + Tonic,
    Thanks for sharing your test run.
    ABs looks very glitched now. Last night I watched Avenger do an AB with Fab and they had razors dropping all the time. Like just by moving around made them drop. I have no idea what settings they have on SE now but they like to beef-up the puppets as well.
    I did A0 normal bunker myself last night on Gamers United server, and it was not a big challenge as a solo. I did trigger a horde once but could retreat into a examine room and shoot through a door. Maybe 10-12 armored puppets came in total. I went in with bow and no gun. Was i little pressed during the horde because i ran out of arrows. Besides that i was most nervous about the beepers. They spawned in weird places, one was in a depot.
    Zero puppets in the wild and even towns are nerfed badly, maybe 3 puppets are wandering around. PDs still trigger some and can trigger a horde. Can be a challenge as a solo with bow only. 5 puppets on you and getting cornered in the PD looks harder that your trip in the AB. LOL.

      The developers said they nerfed it and made it easier, but this is just stupid. As for the razors they've always been the same amount some people are just lead-footed, that's why I jump around inside the bunker, jumping is quieter than running and faster, we don't get many but for the sake of being boring, might as well make noise to kill something, otherwise you'd just be doing a bunker without any fighting.

    nice video mate jep this is how it is it is f..d up all about pupets and some more bugs i notice today crazy. But if you think anout new players this AB can be hard if you dont think what are you doing :P like about noise and numpad dors

      Getting accustomed to the mechanics might take a bit of time, but after just 10 runs through abandoned bunkers, you'll be set for life. The learning curve is pretty steep, but it levels off quickly. It's rare to find someone who hasn't tried ABs in the past year. The challenge diminishes significantly over time, and mastering things like keypads and other mechanics can be accomplished with just a short video tutorial.
      The real challenge was dealing with puppets silently. Without them, you can navigate the entire bunker without making a sound. However, that approach can be dreadfully dull. Unless you're strategically holed up in a high-risk area and aiming to keep a low profile, playing silently might not be very appealing. Even then, activating the door with a keycard or waiting for the timer to run down can tip others off to your presence. So, even if you're being as stealthy as a mouse, chances are others will catch wind of your activities and come knocking.

    yea game is a borefest. puppet numbers are way down on almost everything. except maybe high threat zone horde spawn, then its maybe 5 or 6. New update to the horde system fixed some things but also just maybe the game so empty. hopefully they can keep working on it, because its a huge problem. good video bud

      I appreciate the comment. Obviously I want scum to be enjoyable, I liked the numbers of puppets when the horde system came out, I just did not like HOW they spawned.

      @@palfy205 yes. The numbers was good. It felt like a real threat when a horde got called and they just showed up. The spawning was boo boo for sure. I really miss how when puppets would just be around in the woods sometimes, or when you drove into a town they were there. Felt more immersive. That and it made sniping puppets litterly irrelevant now. Just gonna let um cook.

      I wouldn't say pro's, but we know our way around bunkers, even so, there was absolutely no struggle, I miss having the clear the stairwell and actually be careful, now it's gone back to easy-mode.

      Yup, I did mention that several times and how making them have higher health doesn't fix the problem. Just makes it unrealistic to shoot something in the head several times and not die. We go for survival and immersion on my server. So we need to be allowed to have more weaker opponents rather than less tougher ones.

    Hi, sadly it’s way too easy.
    And I’m not sure they will be able to set the high risk places with high threats and a correct way I can’t believe it, but I hope they will .
    Lots of things in this game are getting way too easy .

    I looted a police station and all the garages in the town in the south of c3 and for 30 minutes not one puppet spawned, and I'm on a plus 3 times server, have to say, I'm not liking the new puppet spawning system, still love the game.

      That doesn't sound right, PDs should always trigger puppets upon entry, here is a clip of what it looks like on my server, it's 3x I can vouch for that, I can't say the same for your one, but I know there are puppets, just ABs and LTZ are empty IMO. Triggered a horde spawn on it too, but otherwise at least 6 puppets were inside before, I'm agreeing it's not enough, but they should never be empty.

      @palfy205 they are never normally empty but for some reason last night I was half an hour in the area and nothing spawned, the server I'm on is a great server the admin is ontop of ever5 he gets ban happy alot lol, (mainly for cheating and not following the rules) but yeah I agree at least 6 puppets use to spawn in stations before the update now only about 3 spawn I'm and at that they jump out the up stairs window to get you so when you kill them the station is either empty or only has one puppet to contend with.

      Ah, the classic overreaction nerf strikes again! I mean, if I attempted to fall a tree with a sharp stone, my hands would definitely be in for a rough time too, haha! 😄 But seriously, wouldn't it be awesome to have a difficulty slider for environmental challenges like food, water, injuries, and all that jazz? Imagine just being able to select 'hard survival,' 'medium,' or 'easy' from the server list without having to delve into a laundry list of custom settings. It'd streamline things so much! Sorry for the ramble, it's just something I'm really passionate about. 🌲💪

    yea seems like max puppets = normal puppets setings now its the same on a vanilla 4 5 6 puppets upstairs 3 4 in the room with the black tarps uh they realy .. this update entered on a max server pupets before the update its wos like 50 to 100 pupets now just like 20 max
