    Thanks for sharing. Had to do it for our chickens. It was a bit unnerving. Really appreciate the closeup. The chickens are playing nice now.

    Every time we find a new chicken to put in with the group we put these peepers on our chickens! It works great!

    Recently mine have been missing toes and when the others see the blood they go insane. I just had a hen die this morning so hopefully these will work. I most likely will need something permanent if possible so they dont pick at blood if there ever is any. Also where did you guys purchase them?

    • @TheNeuAdventure
      @TheNeuAdventure  4 года назад

      Yep, they do that! Chickens are like small dinosaurs... we ordered our peepers on Amazon, they worked for us, give them a try!

    We have a horrible egg eater. We've isolated, done plastic eggs, the mustard egg - which she LOVED! She's so naughty. Will these stop her from pecking eggs?

    • @TheNeuAdventure

      It depends on the situation. For us it was a few weeks. As soon as the behavior is corrected you can try removing them.

    Silly question but aren’t chickens eyes on the sides rather than looking forward?

    • @TheNeuAdventure

      Yes, so it only blocks their vision looking forward so they can’t attack each other as well

    • @TheNeuAdventure
      @TheNeuAdventure  2 года назад

      We don’t free range a lot because of hawks and eagles, I think they can still get around fine with the glasses, but predators would probably have easier targets with them on.

    We had this problem recently with our ex batterys we were going to try bumper bits which puts a bar in front of the beak and a bit in the beak to stop it fully closing, awkward to eat but hopefully they will try cannibalism and just fail and eventually just give up on it. But it's quite nerve wracking putting the prongs into the nostril so it fits comfortably. Any advice?

    • @TheNeuAdventure
      @TheNeuAdventure  2 года назад

      Well, it’s not easy to get them on, and they don’t love it. But in my opinion it’s better for them to be a bit uncomfortable for a little while than for them to kill each other. Our chickens are all fine after having to wear them 2x for about a month each time. Best of luck!

(Last year) and now all of a sudden 2 of my chickens are missing feathers and have raw skin. Only seen one (isa brown) pecking at them.
