Recently mine have been missing toes and when the others see the blood they go insane. I just had a hen die this morning so hopefully these will work. I most likely will need something permanent if possible so they dont pick at blood if there ever is any. Also where did you guys purchase them?
We have a horrible egg eater. We've isolated, done plastic eggs, the mustard egg - which she LOVED! She's so naughty. Will these stop her from pecking eggs?

We don’t free range a lot because of hawks and eagles, I think they can still get around fine with the glasses, but predators would probably have easier targets with them on.
We had this problem recently with our ex batterys we were going to try bumper bits which puts a bar in front of the beak and a bit in the beak to stop it fully closing, awkward to eat but hopefully they will try cannibalism and just fail and eventually just give up on it. But it's quite nerve wracking putting the prongs into the nostril so it fits comfortably. Any advice?
Well, it’s not easy to get them on, and they don’t love it. But in my opinion it’s better for them to be a bit uncomfortable for a little while than for them to kill each other. Our chickens are all fine after having to wear them 2x for about a month each time. Best of luck!
Fun fact. Size doesn't matter. I have one extra large girl, and she is brutalized by the Cinnamon Queens AND 2 Americana's!! I decided that the Queens need to live separately, they're just too mean, and I'm going to try the Peepers on the 2 Americana's.
I put some on mine tonight and noticed they were breathing with mouth open. I’ve read that they shouldn’t be on the hens for more than two weeks. What is your experience?
Yes they do work!! I left them in for about 4 weeks, just long enough for the smaller chickens to grow a little more, then took them out. Totally recommend them when introducing new chickens.
@@TheNeuAdventure i dont have any new additions, they have been raised together since they were babies. (Last year) and now all of a sudden 2 of my chickens are missing feathers and have raw skin. Only seen one (isa brown) pecking at them. Im increasing protein, added a flock block and a new dust bath box. The 2 girls have a apron on now. Next step is to try these. Hoping it will change their behavior.. ty sooo much for your reply. I truly appreciate it
Thanks for sharing. Had to do it for our chickens. It was a bit unnerving. Really appreciate the closeup. The chickens are playing nice now.
Wonderful! I hope it helps!
Every time we find a new chicken to put in with the group we put these peepers on our chickens! It works great!
Awesome!
"This is for your own safety... and the safety of others around you. You're a murderer."

I cackled so hard! I’m glad the algorithm picked this up😂😂😂
Do u have link to purchase? Interested in getting some.

Yep, they do that! Chickens are like small dinosaurs... we ordered our peepers on Amazon, they worked for us, give them a try!

It might help, we have the same issue from time to time. So frustrating!
Who turned out the lights
Yep
How long should you leave this on the bird? Days? Weeks?
It depends on the situation. For us it was a few weeks. As soon as the behavior is corrected you can try removing them.
So can they see well enough to jump up onto the roost at night with those on?
Yes they can
It’s this or the chopping block 😂😂😂
Yes!! And it worked! 🤣
Silly question but aren’t chickens eyes on the sides rather than looking forward?
Yes, so it only blocks their vision looking forward so they can’t attack each other as well
Can you share exactly which brand of peepers you used here in this video? I need to get these ASAP !!!

Thank you very much!!!@@TheNeuAdventure
Hi can we take it off as and when we wanted and put it back
Yes, they can be taken off and put back on if needed
Our issue is not fighting but feather pecking can this clips prevent
It would probably help
@@TheNeuAdventure I am really struggling badly for solution
They don't fight but pick feathers from other hens and eat
All are looking thin and bold
@@TheNeuAdventure can they free range with out worrying about predators

How do they see their food?
Somehow they still eat and drink just fine.
@@TheNeuAdventure Someone that tried it said they couldn't drink or eat with them on, so I doubt it.
Did it work for you guys?
Happy to report that it had been working wonderfully!! They seem to not be very bothered by the blinders and no other chickens have been harmed!
Would this help keep them from going over the fence in Free ranging?
Maybe, would not hurt to try!
Thank you for posting this!
Hope it helps!

My americanas are mean also!!
Do they have to breath with their mouth open the whole time?
reecee'spieces101 no they can still use their nostrils
I put some on mine tonight and noticed they were breathing with mouth open. I’ve read that they shouldn’t be on the hens for more than two weeks. What is your experience?
They did great with them, we left them on for 6 weeks. They seem to have stopped pecking on each other!
So did they work? Do you have to leave them on permanently?
Yes they do work!! I left them in for about 4 weeks, just long enough for the smaller chickens to grow a little more, then took them out. Totally recommend them when introducing new chickens.

Give it a try, I would put them on all the chickens except the ones being bullied. Best of luck! It can be so frustrating! Let me know how it goes.
@@TheNeuAdventure ok ty for the advice. Im gonna order them today :)
They should try with colour blue. I think those red glasses only make more mess.
Probably so
How the spec work out on the chicken
Pretty good!
Do you ever have lice or mite problems with your chickens?
We haven’t, but I have dusted them with a mite prevention we got form the hardware store that was food safe.
My chickens fling them off!
You’re a murderer!! 😂😂😂
🤣
Peepers are the best thing ever!
MURDERER ! bahahahaha that was funny !

Rowan Flack thanks they are pretty high on list also
Thank you! We like them too!

Right!!!?!?! He is so stubborn!!
It's 2021, nobody wears mustaches anymore.
Pretty lenient punishment for murder! They look like they're about to see a cinematic feature 😂🐔🕶
Yeah... true.. chicken pot pie would have been a better punishment!
