these dudes were cooking so hard, creatively on a wild ass level, with the actual songs an snippets in between, nobody’s ever gonna sound quite like these guys during this specific time
When I was in the 8th grade I stayed home with a cold one day drank a couple glasses of rum and discovered this band, this has been my favorite music for 13 years
What a fucking story.
My friends older brother played them in the car after picking us up from the beach after my buddy and I rode our bikes there. We didn’t account for the ride back we would have. His brother was fucking pissed having to drive out to get us. His older bro played them the whole ride home. Was 14, i’m 23 now and have been listening since. 8 years of being in my life. Love your story
These guys tapped into cabaret rock from the late 60s sleeping in south LA since then and brought it to life again. I hope they get over that sexual misconduct debacle and get on with making more music.
The sad news is they broke up. Brooks makes music under his own name now.
This is a masterpiece. The original cd is a rare gem

This is a special album. There was something magic going on here when they recorded these songs and I think they knew it. you’re young your slate is brand new 😢
something different is always captured when people record and when people do it live. one isnt necessarily better than the other, but things happen that may make it so. an accident, a different localized point of view, idk.... always good to see both spectrums.
