Do you remember the early 70's Evel Kneivel kid's toy where you'd put the motorcycle on the plastic ramp, yanked the geared plastic t-stick to wind the real wheel gyro then launch it? This car... Exceptional build and theme!
October 20, 1973 JFK Stadium in Philadelphia, I was 12 years old and watched Evel jump 14 School Buses. My Dad took me and it was Awesome. Then when I moved to Dunedin and heard he was living in Clearwater I was amazed. A lot of my friends had drank with him but I missed out because it would have been a pleasure to have a beer with him. Great Video Shawn, Can’t wait to see the Ramp Truck!!!
Yeah I was 12 years old at that time too Born in 61 I moved to Clearwater Florida in 1997 I once saw Knievel riding his motorcycle down Gulf to Bay boulevard. The female judge that he had in his case was named Amy Williams I had her as my judge also in the year 2000. Wish I had tried to look him up but I didn't.
What an experience this was to be able to drive the car for the first time with the crew at AutotopiaLA. Some real motivation to see the response to the car and this gives our team the drive to finish the truck and return.
