Such a terrific interview and thanks for uploading this. JNT really was ahead of his time in terms of events and media promotion and keeping the show alive in the eyes of the press. A real shame that he never got to enjoy the RTD era, it would've been fascinating to hear his views on Nu-Who. Thanks for uploading this interview.

That was very interesting, thank you. John Nathan Turner is painted as a bit of a villain in the world of Doctor Who. I must admit that I was influenced by that, so it's nice to see this and get a more rounded view of him as a human being.

@@MarkusScott1977 It didn't help that the BBC basically kept him on even when he wanted to leave and that Doctor Who probably wasn't getting the budget and timeslots it had deserved by the 1980s.

Sylvester mccoy said he was the reason the program came to America cause the BBC thought Americans wouldn't be able to understand it, he also said he gets more blame than he should.

JNT was and is a much maligned figure. He made a significant contribution to Classic Who and in my opinion much of it was positive. I would have loved his commentaries on the DVD's.

I bet this interaction was where the footage of JNT on The Season 26 blu-ray documentary came from!
