Definitely one of the best and most underrated installments.
I love this game so much and like to listen to it in the background when I'm working. It reduces stress for me because it brings me back to the time when I was little and would watch my dad play it. Now I play at home and my daughter watches me. My little RE fan 💕

Best game that surely need a remake. I dont understand the demand of remake of resident evil 4. It was had great graphics after it was remastered in 2014 and modern controls too.

Well, they are modern-"ish". It only utilizes one stick, so therefore you cant move and shoot. But it did add to the tension some. I think the coming remake is going to be really awesome though.

I always loved how Steve waited until his father was literally right on top of Claire before he started blasting away. So damn reckless, he easily could have killed her in the crossfire.

I beat this game today on my Xbox One.
It was my first time I played it since owning it on Dreamcast when it was a new title.
One of my favorite stories in the series.
Oh god, I forgot how strongly this game tried to push the non-existent chemistry between Claire and Snotty Brat.
Played this around 2010, Toughest & creepiest Resident Evil.

This is my FAVORITE RE game. This holds so much nostalgia for me. It brings me back to being a teenager sitting in my room with my boys and just getting lost in the game. When one person would die(we were not great at video games. The fixed camera angles messed us up often lol) we would hand the ps2 controller over to the next friend in line. Thank you for this game play! I downloaded the game onto my boyfriend's ps4, and I'm still just as bad at it as I was when I was 15 in 2000!!! Finding this walkthrough just made my entire year! I love you and your channel. Please don't ever stop making content for us!!!

Used to have problems seeing everything while playing this game but watching this in 1440P helps the upscale enough to where one coukd see where they were going. I still say the HD remaster for ps3 and 360 is the best so far tho.

I know it is stupid, but i still cannot get over the fact that how Steve flys a large plane. I mean Alfred can fly a fighter, sure, he is rich af and surely received training. I would also understand if Claire can fly a plane cause her brother was in air force after all. But Steve? When did he learn how to fly?
BTW : Please don't attack me cause i love CV too. But how Steve flys a large aircraft really bothers me.

5:03:00 the cutscene, music and cinematography always gave me goosebumps when I played it back then. Not the biggest fan of Code Veronica, it was goofy at times but this scene really got me. When Claire begs Chris to not die on her, I was really worried. Alexa’s smirk when she Transformers into stage 2 and the music….brrrrrrr, goosebumps all over! There was this scene midway the fight, where Chris is looking at Claire while she heads upwards with the elevator, they lock eyes and I was convinced, Chris is gone sacrifice himself for his little sister.

And I think a remaster would be better....while graphics and gameplay of the remakes are fine...it felt like it was written by Joss Whedon

Don't understand how can ppl hate this RE. It's one of my favorite and first RE I ever know from my dad. He used to play this when I was a kid and I used to be terrified by it😂 this brings me the nostalgia vibes very well. RECVX deserves a remake than RE4😭!

Code Veronica was not the hardest Resident Evil, it was Outbreak 1 and 2 hands down, because it had Very Hard and Nightmare. For those saying Code Veronica is hard....
- learn to dodge
- pick areas to run through that don't have enemies
- you can take more hits in this game than any other without dipping into orange caution or danger

If this game gets a remake, it could be a chance for Albert Wesker to make a reappearance, which is what many RE fans would want anyway! It'd need serious overhauls in order to make it less predictable, such as new layouts for both Rockfort Island and the Antarctic Base (which was used as the final stage for Umbrella Corps). Perhaps Wesker could get a bigger role in the story and new story hints could be dropped. Perhaps he was Nicholai's secret employer in the RE3 remake, just as Ada Wong was. Another possibility is for the noble background of the Ashford family to be emphasized, much like how old European nobility is used in RE Village.

I just Wana say growing up on this game you did so freaking fantastic this game is a childhood core memory and I was always scared to play it but when the person I watched stopped playing it I was so sad so I decided to get over my fear and play it and I never stopped playing you took those turns perfectly a definite win in my book

New subscriber here. I've enjoyed the resident evil games but for some reason, never got around to playing this one. Re4 my favorite and always said , hope we get a remake. But after watching this entire video on this game, I've had a change of mind. Remake code veronica instead.
I'm doing a playthrough right now, I forgot how good this game was. Last time I beat it was like 10 years ago when me and some friends did a resident evil series binge. I don't understand the hate this game gets. Yea the voice acting is bad but so are the ps1 games. And I love how cheesy the dialogue and voice acting is anyways it never bothered me.

I didn't like the gameplay of this game, nor did I like the whole thing about the veronica virus... still between 2001 and 2005, I bought this game 3 TIMES for the PS2 before I bought God of War.
There was something VERY INUQUE about this game that subliminally stood out, and now, about 20 years later, I FINALLY UNDERSTAND.
This game is an ANOMALY, and it did something very unique.
There is a HIDDEN beauty about this particular game that's not there in ANY OTHER main RE game... and it also showed how STUPID Capcom are for NOT making this game into its own trilogy.
Just to give you a very strong hint, take a VERY CLOSE LOOK at Chris's facial expression and Claire's facial expression at 5:13:54 and keep the context in mind to understand EXACTLY what this game did that is so unique!

How did you get the game running at 60fps? Some games on dolphin for me naturally run at 60fps but other games seem to be locked at 30

I loved RE4 because it was winnable. In other words it was possible to progress. I hated RE4 because they used the same 3 colors (or variations of) throughout the whole game. RE Code Veronica X was more colorful, but it was very difficult to progress. Not enough health, not enough bullets. I never made it to the end, but I did in RE4. In RE Code Veronica X I don't remember how many times I deleted my game save and started over from the very beginning being mindful to conserve health and bullets. Still it never helped.

Alfred cross dressed b4 it was cool.
Not going to lie. Alfred's death didn't feel fitting or karmic enough to me. If he was turned into a monster and then destroyed against his will or if he got horribly eaten by zombies or turned into a zombie and Claire gunned him down. Then that would've been more fitting. But other than that. This video game of Resident Evil is incredible.
