please could someone tell me what the meaning behind the song is, I've tried looking for it on google but I can't find it anywhere and I need to know a bit more about the song to perform it for an audition. So if someone could help that would be amazing
One thing that helps me is reading the lyrics look a poem or story. I interpret this song as being about a couple (I assume married based off the line "we said our vows before God") where the person singing feels like the man has shut down and stopped loving them. They are trying to understand what went wrong. They are trying to hold on to it and fight for it, but this song is them feeling confused, heartbroken, and defeated. How did a relationship where the man of their dreams, who made them feel beautiful and loved, just end? The climax at the end is almost a wail of frustration and heartbreak. And the end is just exhaustion and pain. An absolute journey of a song and masterpiece of music. Hope this helps!
