Yeah the “balance” is kinda weird. There’s more Pokémon that can utilize sunny day over electric terrain and there’s 2 Pokémon with drought and 2 legendaries with drought that can utilize it well. Plus it’s not that bad to go for a sunny day on a different Pokémon if needed. For electric terrain, there’s really only one Pokémon being Pinch. That’s probably why they made booster energy to proc the abilities for the Violet mons over the Scarlet ones

Psyblade gets boosted by Sharpness, and since only one Pokemon gets access to the move, and said Pokemon can never have its ability changed, it's kinda pointless.

I unironically rewatched this video while eating because I actually had no memory of watching it until the end. Which means that's how little of an impression Iron Leaves.
Pincurchin is small enough to sneak in as a seventh Pokémon onto any team
It’s weird that Iron Leaves has a signature move that is the shared type of its trio. Of both Paradox trios it’s the only one with that. In other words it should’ve gotten a grass type move that gets boosted on electric terrain.
If it got a reskinned leaf blade but it was higher base power and boosted by eletric terrain it would be have been really thematic.
Name it something like "biotic blade".

My theory is iron leaves is actually a a Chinese sweat factor product because they got nothing on no one. There original form is better because at least it has ACTUALLY strong stab moves. Like close combat and sacred sword. Drunk oak was the best buff iron leaves got lol

Samurott's hidden ability Shell armor protects him from the crit extra damage effect,
Due to his pure water typing, it resists surging strikes in half and it has a reasonable physical defense bulk (95 ho and 85 Def)
Samurott can also make take advantage of rain set upf by now prominently used support Tornadus as well and hit back with air slash or aerial ace for suppereffective damage to Urshifu

Sad its not good at competitive. At least its pretty decent at raids where walking wake isnt particularly good at, i was surprised that it didn't have any sort of boosting moves for spatk, similar to iron moth. That one has at least fiery dance, but its luck based then.
I'm curious on what you think could be done with Delphox? It getting expanding forve is great for it and it has a pretty good move pool to use

he could have used thundurus prankster+manual electric terrain + life orb on leaves and probably have better results instead of using that trash can called pinchurchin with sucker punch to self trigger a weakness policy etc....
You know it's bad when the Pinchurchin contributes more to the game than the Pokemon the videos based on.
I still stand by the belief that all they'd need to do is change Psyblade to be Grass, at least then it'd be extemely niche as opposed to utterly useless. STILL utter codswallop that all the other Legendary Paradoxes got signature moves matching their unique type while this thing alone didn't. I guess at this point they've completely given up on both game balance and logic.
Also just saying it's nice to see some Urshifu Single Strike, despite being Urshifu I find it underused, in comparison to the other one.
You know why they call it Psyblade? Because Iron Leaves is Psybad

Hmmmm. Rillaboom better teammate. 30% boosted leaf blades. Booster speed + bulk. Run coaching, helping hand(?), leaf blade, taunt. With a good offensive rillaboom (miracle seed?) Dangerous pairing I think might have to tera leaves alot though. Maybe I'm cooking though.
Terrains give 30% boost since gen 8, not 50%. Why? Tapus being broken.

Just made a team and can confirm this thing works much better as a support mon. Coaching, helping hand, taunt, leaf blade. Put it on a team with kommo-o, rillaboom, banded H-Arcanine, bundle, flutter. Coaching works very nicely with kommo-o, rillaboom, and arcanine because it makes them tanks that hit like trucks. Helping Hand is nice for fluttermane, taunt shuts amoonguss down. Kommo-o is honestly the star on the team though Tera steel and clangorous soul is very good against this meta, just need a good lando counter, which bundle does great. Went something like 7-1 on low ladder. Definitely a good bo1 team no idea about bo3 but I don't do tournaments anyway just here for fun.
