I ligit cried here because it's really symbolic, most people don't know but Sanemi is 100% colorblind, he also can't read which would also mean that he can't write without any help. I also think that's the reason his eyes look so bloodshot, is because he's trying to see more clearly and to see the difference shades of grays in a way that makes things easier to see. I also like to think that one of the main reasons he is best friends with Obanai is that he is the easiest to see out of everyone due to his color pallet being blacks and whites.
