Very good guide for a starting/returning player. I myself played Tera a long time ago and made it to level 30. Returned to play a few days ago and got little confused on some new stuff. Thank you for the guide.
I'm a TERA veteran and got any class on 65. I have to say it's a good tutorial for beginners. I take sometimes new players on hand and tell them how to do surtain things (like upgrading the avatar weapon and so on). Just one thing you can do better for the next time while editing: Zoom into things like the time you showed the symbol for BAMs or icons like pegasus and teleportal. It looks way smoother and better then those arrows. Even when you showed the chained skills, just zoom in for a short time to where the viewer has to focus to. Another thing which I would consider to say is which classes are easier to play (solo) like the gunner is one of the easiest one to begin with. They got big DPS and heavy armor, it isn't that bad if you forget to role out of a Boss attack zone like the ninja as an example. If you reach once 40 you could say you got enough experience to play harder classes like ninja, priest, mystic, destroyer, ... Keep up the good work!

@@kaizal3161 With 70 hours you can even get to the awakening. Try out EnMasse Server. If the ping is too high, try out Gameforge server (where I can help you) and decide where your ping is better.

As someone who was super serious about this game a few years ago, coming back has thrown me for a loop. The past few times I've tried to come back this year, I couldn't even stand playing because the UI was so different and gearing was so insanely different. It's frustrating to come back to a game you used to be an expert at only to find everything has turned on it's head. Thank you so much for this guide! I've noticed now, in august, that avatar weapons are gone? Could you maybe make an updated guide explaining how to gear while leveling, I'm at a complete loss and just have my friend and I picking up whatever junk we get via dungeons.

I would like to start by saying that the game is massive, beautiful and really good. There are a lot of things to do and places to see but... having said that i found out that the game has a problem with exp gain and difficulty. my plan was to travel along the roads from village to village and do quests while exploring but what happened is you quickly obliterate everything and there is no challenge like at all. you would have to use weapons several times lower in damage from what you can really equip if you want to make it challenging but then again the monsters will usualy pose no threat. you also always find a stronger weapon/armor 5 min after you think you found a good one. i've also run a dungeon 3 times to see what gear i would get and by the third time i could do it 4 times faster just because i leveled and of the gear i got. So basicaly i find that the game has a problem with how it manages exp and difficulty. if they ever change it i would love to go back but right now i could not bother with it, i hate feeling like the game hands me everything just because. there is no challenge. i bet that i could find challenging fights later into the game but what's the point if i don't enjoy the journey there :/ I would still recommend the game tho and there is no point hesitating on trying it out since it's free. the issue i talked about is a personal annoyance but if you don't really care about the fast progression then you would 100% love this game.

Buy scrolls from merchants to travel around the map. Much easier. Scrolls are generally related to the three main centres of occupation and their surrounding areas. But with each centre available as a scroll at all merchants you simply travel to the respective centres then stack up with scrolls.

Isn't TERAs player pop for NA very low? I heard they merged servers recently to compensate for that and I think last time I played it I had trouble finding a dungeon.
I know nothing about this game but it sounds so good. Items dont break on failure to upgrade, instance queing, buying skills rather than limited skillpoints, I'm ready!

What is Kumas Royale? I dont understand a single bit. I am given a group number, for example, group one, and now I can see my teammates as a greenpointer. What am I meant to do? I dont get. Am I meant to be waiting for something to happen whilst I am in a group? Because what happens is, I queue up, I see my name in a group, but I dont get teleported somewhere, like in dungeons, where they teleport you. Like, I am doing stuff in Bestial Valley, whilst I stay in a group. In Kumas, I am meant to be teleported somewhere to fight right? I dont understand anything about Kumas Royale
@@fellowmemer5693 in general kumas is for new players but also lvl 65-70 players. In Kumas after 1 win u get lvl up and (24h 100% lvl XP buff) some gold and potions. If u are not teleporting try to change place or mby its just bugged for u. If it's bugging all time try sending a ticket to gameforge. Kumas Royale: You change into small monster (Kumas) and fight others u can also take a big mama and kill other kumas mama.
Amazing video. My main issue is I played Tera when it first launched on PS4. I have been away from the game for a long time. I've logged back in after a year or so and am max level. No idea what the stuff in my inventory is, what my gear is, what the buttons and skills are, and what my quests are. Nightmare
I was wondering about a few things, as you were talking about xp boosts why were you using the EP boost and showing it. There is a difference between an xp boost and EP xp boost? As for the flying guardian missions why were you just hovering over the stations which recharge your flight time? So much it goes for chain skills, you can make it if you can call it chain skills, but the actual chain skills are already as it this, which is why it's better not to tell people to make their own it will only confuse them more. It would be better for people to actually learn their buttons and just use them. Yeah you can say that you made a chain yourself but it most likely won't be a chain at all. For traveling you could've also added that you can buy tp scrolls from the merchant to visit other major/smaller cities.

The only method that is worth using is doing story up to level 20, then dungeons up to 60 and then story quests to 65. After low level dungeon revamp you find party in seconds, so its best to jut literally stand in one place and using instance matching. It takes around 20-30 hours to get from 1 to apex
people who haven't played might have thought you were joking with the big ass monster but then you go to a fish monger and they remind you every chance they get "remember to catch all those big ass fish"

Gameforge's Tera is probably better than EnMasse's at the moment. They have weekly events, updates are almost never late, population is also decent.

Unfortunately, at the present time, only story quests give you XP. All zone quests now give no XP, they only reward gold and gear tokens.

The only method that is worth using is doing story up to level 20, then dungeons up to 60 and then story quests to 65. After low level dungeon revamp you find party in seconds, so its best to jut literally stand in one place and using instance matching. It takes around 20-30 hours to get from 1 to apex
its even faster to just grind ebontower with a premade group from 60-65
