Growing up in the INC not only affected me but also trickled down into my relationships with friends, family and in-laws, where toxic thinking bled into every part of life, even unrelated to church. The PTSD was a huge part as to why I developed Functional Neurological Disorder-I suddenly had seizures, lost control over my legs, speech, and eyesight. Some family and friends even believed my illness was a punishment from God, which added another layer of emotional pain. But through retraining my brain, healing my nervous system and being so intentional with my environment, I’m now 95% physically healed and doing so much better emotionally. Your content is so NEEDED and empowering-thank you for spreading awareness and helping others heal. i truly mean it from the bottom of my heart🤍

To hear that some of your fam and friends believed that your illness was a punishment from God was tough to hear, that invalidation is painful. Many people can learn from your story. I'm glad you're recovering and healing. Also just watched your RUclips video and wow-- I'm pretty blown away with the information you shared and your journey with FND is a huge eye opener. The symptoms remind me a lot of polyvagal theory. Thank you again for the comment, it's inspiring!!
