About this video: Well, let me think where to start... For recording, I usually use my action camera (and audio recorder) for this lounge series at the Ritz because it’s compact. I don’t hide it but people don’t see the camera easily. Okay, last Saturday, my computer died. That means I won’t be able to use the video editing software (Premier Pro) until I fix it or buy new computer. Yesterday (Sunday) I was at the Ritz, and I knew there’s no point to record it with the action camera and audio recorder because there’s no way to edit the video and the audio! 😕 However, I really didn’t want to miss my Monday lounge video. So, I put my giant (to compare with the action camera) iPhone Xs for recording because I can upload a video from my phone directly without a special editing. However; that was obviously noticeable, and that distracted me whole time. ‘Please nobody sees this phone... please...’. Plus, I knew the audio quality will be terrible, but (as you heard) there was a lady - she’s not in this video but she looked suspicious - and our sweet staff had a little chat. I was keep thinking while they were talking; ‘No...no... you are too close to my phone... your conv will go through... dang it....’ literally I couldn’t focus. That’s why this episode has just one song, and I looked not normal. I’m getting new computer but it will take another week... ugh... I really appreciate all of your nice words even though the quality of this video is very poor... You guys are truly amazing and I’m really blessed to have you as my friends!! Love you all! ❤️😉👍🏻

Actually I didn't think the video quality was bad at all, and the sound was different, but not that bad. @@SangahNoona well, I really like your playing and realize that you're very versatile and can play many different styles..... but if you're playing a standard with 2-5-1's or 1-6-2-5's , etc. with walking bass in your left hand and swinging 1/8 notes in your right, playing nice vocabulary, I think you're playing jazz, IMHO, LOL! And I love your sense of humor. Great videos!
Just wanted to add that when I first watched this, for a few seconds I didn't think it was in the Ritz-Carlton, but then I looked at the background and saw it was. But the camera seemed to be in a different place and the sound seems different. Then as I watched you, it seemed like you were maybe upset, distracted, frustrated or something wasn't quite right. And your beautiful smile at the end seemed a little forced. Maybe it's just my imagination, but anyway, whether I'm right or wrong, it was a beautiful song and nobody does Jobim better than you. I read your comment and to tell you the truth I was so fixated on you and listening to your playing that I didn't notice you were using your phone to record. haha It sounded and looked really nice. Truly I say that as an audio engineer (one of my many jobs) I only feel bad that I couldn't help fix your computer as that was one of the jobs that paid me while I was out on the town playing as a sideman in various clubs nationwide. (Can't tell you how many clubs and bands I played with for no pay, although I often had many people tip me and buy me drinks. Seemed to be a way of life for many of us musicians.) @@SangahNoona Also, the new camera view helps us to focus more on the main attraction and not have to see all of those distractions that you have to look at. It's like the comparison between seeing the entire baseball field (camera view before) and seeing only the batter (camera view now), and when the batter is batting one thousand, it's important to see the batter!! ⚾⚾⚾
