Absolutely beautiful! As of 2022, flamingos are my favorite animal/bird. 🩷🦩🎨 . I enjoyed myself watching you paint and the accompanying music is soothing too!

Thank you for introducing us to the concept of using grisaille in watercolor using purple in lieu of gray -- perhaps a "Violette Grisaille", and for the excellent and very clear demonstration. You also model for us the excellent habit of always exploring more concepts, methods and techniques, whether through books, in person classes or video tutorials. Well done, Aura!

Thank you very much Jessie! I love the idea of "Violette Grisaille" to describe this process. I believe in the balance of pushing yourself to try new things in order to grow, but also take time to do what is light and easy so that it stays fun and you keep picking up the brush! I really appreciate your comments, it is so helpful as a content creator to know whether or not what I do resonates with viewers/artists 😊

A thought just occurred and I might just experiment for the fun of exploring: purple, green and orange, being the secondary colors, might be the basis of a grisaille method, choosing the underpainting hue based on the overall temperature of one's subject. As an example, a green underpainting for a turquoise overpainting with a cool overall feel. Same with orange.

Nicely painted. Can you paint a white turtle dove in her nest, a white swan in sparkling waters, a young white lamb in green pastures. Thanks.
