I got a tie-dye kit for my father in law for Xmas. He’s a life long deadhead but has never tie dyed anything! You’re videos are so helpful for learning techniques so we can make some fun designs!
Crazy I would've guessed that the background music was Augustus Pablo or his son on the melodica. Thanks for sharing the music info though as well as how to make this style of dye.
זה מהמם🤩 גם לי יש ערוץ בRUclips שעוסק באומנות. איזה כיף לראות עוד אנשים שיוצרים סרטונים בתחום ואוהבים אומנות. That's amazing 🤩, I also have a RUclips art channel. It's so cool to see other people that focus on art.
How do you properly rinse and wash it after dying something for the initial rinse and wash? Getting into tie dye, but need some tips so the colors and design will set
If you're just getting into tie-dye then I would suggest checking out our complete guide. It will teach you everything you need to know to get started. Check out steps 6 and 7 for the rinsing and washing. www.chandye.com/how-to-tie-dye-a-shirt/
Hello! We prefer putting the soda ash directly in the bottles. We put in the same amount of soda as dye, in a 1:1 ratio. Like you pointed out, you can also soak the shirt in soda ash before dyeing. For this we use 1/2 cup of soda in a bucket containing a gallon of water. Soda is very forgiving and you can play with the quantities, it won't hurt if you use too much soda.
Hello! You can check out this list of dye suppliers. At the bottom of the page we have listed a supplier located in South Africa and they seem very friendly. We suggest trying them out first and if that doesn't do the trick you can try the big North American suppliers which sell internationally. I hope this helps! www.chandye.com/where-can-you-buy-dyes-around-the-world/

Hi! The materials we use to colors our fabric are called "fiber-reactive dyes". They are a special kind of dyes that are made specifically for natural fibers and will attach permanently even at room temperature! If you want more information on them I invite you to check out our page which has in-depth information. www.chandye.com/supplies/
Yes, we like to use a very small amount of sodium alginate at any time, it helps with the dye placement. We only use a small amount unless we want to do something very precise, in which case we increase the amount of alginate.
Don’t know why RUclips recommended this to me but I am glad they did.
Same and now I'm bringing a bunch of them
same here
Likewise! I LOVE this!

Wondering if the artists have ever tried tie dyeing with less contrast between the colors? Like, for example, teal, blue, light yellow, peach?
Bella!!!!!!!!
Nice 😎
Awesome!
Very cool
Beautiful
Curious what the outcome would have been if you hadn't added dye when flipped, ever tried?
Definitely something to try, sounds interesting!
Or do different colors on the other side
Love your work, it's Amazing! Who is the music artist playing in the background? Please Do Tell 🙏💯🎆
The first song is Thug Dub - Quincas Moreira and the second one is Live and Direct - Silent partner.

Anyone else feel like he was folding the shirt into a paper airplane at the beginning? 😆
Love the shirt, slightly irked my perfectionist instinct with the mixed pattern towards the end, but it turned out amazingly regardless!
I'm with you. I love watching the process but my OCD will not allow me to wear them. I have to wear solid colors.

It might not be perfect but that wouldn't stop me from rocking that rippling rainbow!

@@Chandye This is what I normally do too by adding the soda ash together with the dye,mix it then pour it in a bottle.

I like your rubber bands, do you know what brand they are?
I'm not sure what brand they are, we got them at the dollar store, but they sure are colorful!
That’s why I like them... I feel like it would help me remember what color dye I want to use. Thanks for responding. I appreciate your tutorials. ❤️🌈
@@BelladonnaDyesCo I was thinking the same thing about corresponding the dye color with the colors of the rubber bands.

I've learned..... that it's no WRONG way to do a tie dye except not rinsing the dye properly so it dont look muddy.
Exactly! As far as how you fold the fabric and where you put the dye, there's an infinite way of doing it and it always looks awesome!
Sometimes I get mad because it’s not working out and then voila it comes out even better LOL can’t really mess up tie dye can you
