Seeing momma belly crawl off the deck on the Sea Ray - then get tossed around just as much in he cockpit - they even lost the table. Should have stayed in the slip that day!
That must be one hell of a inlet! I grew up using the Palm Beach & Jupiter Inlets, but watching these 50’ sleek cruisers getting tossed around like corks is just amazing! This is just a NASTY INLET! I really wish I still had my boat! I’d love to give it a try! I’ve got over 50 years experience with boats. My family grew up on the water, NPB,FLORIDA, 200’ wide canal, no fixed bridges, and Dad got the first boat in 1968, and it’s been a lot of fun!
I love watching these Haulover videos because I grew up going to Haulover almost daily to surf and party I grew up on this beach from 1965 to early 2000's I was literally at Haulover when the Mario Boat Lift were coming on in 1980 and we all no what happened then cocaine cowboy, Scar Face, Miami Vice and Miami holding the murder capital of the USA from 1980 to the early 90's. Wow alot of memories of this beach.
That Red Top Legend Boston Whaler with a pro at the helm can do a better job being towed through the waves then some of the boats with power. My favorite was the HCB Suenos with Quad 425's kicking it.
I live a couple of miles south. There as many sharks as people in the shallows. maybe more. I've had sharks bigger than me pass so close their tails graze my belly.
The 1st boat was my favorite it looked like a dentist Captain taking his boat out for it's 3 times/year adventure from the dock. The wife leaving the bow was a tough break though for the video had she stayed on the bow you would have 2 million views with her falling off & the ensuing Coast Guard rescue.
04:58 There’s something about the Warren’s windshield curve and Clean low superstructure that gives me wood. The roof above the helm slides back. Aussie 🇦🇺 Dave Warren knows his stuff 👍
Got caught in a storm on lake Huron with a Trojan 11 meter. Running in 8-10 foot waves for 2 hrs before we made it in to Presque Isle bay. Didn't help that it was 3AM. Boat handled it like a champion but I was glad to make it into the bay when we did.
As a fresh water captain and after watching many of your videos (ty) what is the best way to handle going out and coming back in? Slower on the way out at an angle? In on the top side of the wave?
The Yamaha 2:10 must of been real distress. Flying the flag inverted. I’m sure he won’t complain if the Coast Guard saves his ass while they properly fly the Stars and Stripes.
Those Searays are great for waters with low bridges, but for the price of one you could get a whole lot more boat with the same length going with a fly bridge sedan or the like if you don't have to worry about low bridges.
I can almost see being out maybe fishing or cruising overnight and then dealing with these conditions coming in, but to go out in these conditions is crazy. Taking a first timer out on your boat in these conditions and it might turn them off completely to boating. Like a prior comment, some days it's better to just have a few cocktails on the boat at the marina.
I’m not a boating expert, in fact I just got into boats recently, but wouldn’t it make sense to go full speed over the waves to reduce the haul over effect?
You never want an outboard running out of the water even for a second, and that is what would happen if you tried going over those waves at speed. Best to get it on plane and keep it there if possible. Easier said than done in those conditions.
I don't know the place, but what is so attractive that you take an open bow ski boat out into conditions like that? No fishing rods in sight so are they going cruising? I don't even think the sea is that bad, certainly nothing I'd worry about taking a 6m Cabin boat with a good Yamaha on the back but there would need to be the fish from hell waiting for me out there ! A case of more money than brains I think !😎👍
Notes for the Captain of the first boat: 1. Check for signs of life from below deck passengers. 2. Clean up mess from refrigerator you forgot to lock. 3. Find first aid kit to address all the gashes on your feet from the broken glass on the galley floor. 4. Plan to order new televisions to be installed. 5. Don’t throw broken televisions overboard. 6. Check all the bilges. 7. Re secure fallen ceiling panels. 8. Sign up for some safe boating courses.
What's your favorite boat in this video? Let us know! 🙌

The Riva 88 for me
!the red top legend! needed tow?
The big one
@@johndeneau7667 😂
I really appreciate the fact you don't use background music. For me it's very relaxing and satisfying to see and hear the boats and waves.
Yessss!
Also no taking, these other guys pollute the video with comments and narrative uggh.. way to go great job.
Agreed
Yes! Definitely agree.
Yes !!!!
The man in the SX230 handled that very very well with such a smaller craft, and his kids were Wearing PFD’s!
For real! Definitely not his first rodeo!
Yes I have that same boat and would never never never ever go out in open waters like that
Imagine someone actually following the law
And the kids sit quietly in a safe position and don't run around.

MDPD those guys never get wet, they know how to get in and out better then most. Good job MDPD.
That riva 88 making its own waves. Lovely boat 😍
Some days it’s best to just chill at the dock and have a few cocktails. 🍸 🍹 🍷 🍺
That HCB Suenos, is, the boat of my dreams!
I see what you did there😄👍

This is one of my favorite Haulover videos. The inlet is in a mood! Everybody gets something.
Love the sound of the waves.
That regal 33 sav @ 3:52 really caught my eye. Didn't know it was a bowrider until it passed. Nice boat!
The one immediately before that would do me fine!
You can always tell when a really nice boat has a seakeeper! Nice n smooth!!

Right at 3:04 there’s a shark fin. Right when the surfer falls, Look closely to the right of him, it’s hard to catch
Damn good eye!
I saw that too! That’s scary

What degrees

Miami boat cop has to be the best police job ever.
Bet he's got a fishing rod hidden away on that boat too.
Floppy Bowrider just saved her own life.
I like my Martini shaken....not stirred....
Great job mate, love your videos.
I don’t know why, but I could watch these videos all day. Actually I do 😅
Gotta love those Contenders with those deep V hulls, they can take on anything.
04:58 There’s something about the Warren’s windshield curve and Clean low superstructure
that gives me wood. The roof above the helm slides back. Aussie 🇦🇺 Dave Warren knows his stuff 👍
MDP is rid'in the waves like a pro surfer!
This never gets old
Great video!!! Rough inlet for sure but amazing dream boats/yachts!!!!
Wow,the fishing sport boats always make it no big deal..
We used to jump off the old bridge going from Haulover over to Bal Harbor. In the early 80 it wasn't this rough.
That's serious pleasure boating 👍🏻🤣
Redtop taking the tow of shame like a man!
Keep up the good work. The boat identification is fantastic!
Got caught in a storm on lake Huron with a Trojan 11 meter. Running in 8-10 foot waves for 2 hrs before we made it in to Presque Isle bay. Didn't help that it was 3AM. Boat handled it like a champion but I was glad to make it into the bay when we did.
The way those yachts handle those waves
That HCB went through it FLAWLESSLY
0:59 LOL. That table!
Between Wavy Boats and Broncos guru, can anyone track down red top legend....I think he needs an interview
That Warren 87 best boat by far wow !!
I’d love to take a jetski out there and play around.
Props to the man in the Yamaha for having his kids in life jackets
Yes, easier to find the bodies. Boat had no business in the inlet that day.
I couldn’t agree with you more, but it’s crazy to see how many go out in crappy weather with small boats and no kids are wearing life jackets
here in southern cali the lifeguard boats here would bust your ass if your kid didn't have a life vest on so yeah lol
It never ceases to amaze me how people don’t take boating courses, buy an expensive boat, and end up in a dangerous situation.
It amazes me that its not mandatory!
The Yamaha did great and it looked like the police officer was having a great time.
I'm always really curious as to where the hell these people are coming from and going to on days like these.
Exactly !
I think the same thing every time I watch a wavy vid.
I think it's like kids cruising main street in small town America. They just cruise on through there to show off their boats and look cool!
Me too ,Crazy
I agree John
Super cool video thanks girl sharing with us
Nice variety of boats today, thanks for including some of the big boys!
The redtop legend, sooner or later it happens, be prepared. It looks like he was.
As a fresh water captain and after watching many of your videos (ty) what is the best way to handle going out and coming back in? Slower on the way out at an angle? In on the top side of the wave?
Slow and str8 through, don't hit the wave sideways because if it's big enough and you're top heavy itil flip you
Don't worry, there's some calm water just a little further out. Go on, keep going 🤣
Fenders people ! Once you leave the dock heading out to sea there is no need to have your fenders flying around everywhere in the swell.
What an opener!! 😦
Good to see a lot of PFD usage. Rare for this channel.
Amazing resolution, great cam
You can tell the captain at 3:32 has done this before, he handled that great.
Helps having 7 engines
Thanks!! I like to see the boats.
that Sea Ray took a pounding
That Axopar 28 is gonna take some getting used to. It looks like a work boat on marine dock project.
Going to have to be the 46-ft Sea Ray but I'm biased . Our 30-foot Sundancer will take a beating.
That police boat had a pretty good driver.
I went to Green Turtle Cay in a 23' Sea Ray Sundancer on a day like this or rougher. There's a fine line between ordeal and adventure.
With those tail fins the Moksha Warren is a dead ringer for a 1957 Plymouth Fury😎
The Yamaha 2:10 must of been real distress. Flying the flag inverted. I’m sure he won’t complain if the Coast Guard saves his ass while they properly fly the Stars and Stripes.
Please
Relax buddy
5:28 Boss...Knows how to cross the bar with that vessel.
Riva 88 is classy!
Floppy is a good name for that first boat lol.
Never thought I'd see a 460 Sundancer stuff - but damn if you didn't catch it - WOW!!
Ikr! a heavy boat with such a deep vee wouldn’t expect that... I guess he needed more speed🤷🏻♂️.
Wasn’t much of a stuff tho.
@@ronschwolsky1626 right.

I used to have an old 16' glasstron it was great on the river not so much fun in the ocean.
By her leaving the bow, she missed out on the. Experience of taking in all that fresh sea air.

Glad you're enjoying it. I just had a glazed krispy kreme my lord. 👍
When are people gonna learn, those lake ski boats arent made for the ocean!
@3:36 Ouch! I'm pretty sure he's going to have a nice bruise on his chest after bottoming out on that wave 😂😣🤤😵😨

3:30 water bike jump near head of the other guy..my compliment.....
The Miami Police boat really knows how to coast in...

Contender 35ST is a beast for its size
The smash the like button..what is that boat please?
what time of day is this? could the swells be because of the tide coming in vs the current going out?
I'm surprised the MDPD boat only had the "captain". I thought for safety at sea and other considerations there would be at least another office along.
That big sea ray was getting tossed around but he handled it well!
lol...at like 4:35 the way the camera is moving to follow the yacht it make it look like the freighter in the background is going like 40+ mph ..lol

That SeaRay is a 46 foot boat that weighs probably 25,000 pounds, and he launched it. Isn't there a boating school down their?
