I have certainly found buying hiking boots a nightmare my most recent buy only developed a problem after 4/5 hours on a trail, so I am buying another pair!
Great thanks for the instructions! Just got a Lundhags Vandra II High boot by mail-order. My toes don't touch the front at all, it seems not too narrow, but the place where the leather is sewn to the lower part of the shoe, there's a hump that puts pressure across my arch from above, maybe an inch back from my toes. And I have some heel lift, which could be poor lacing, as I've loosened the laces to relieve the pressure on the top of my feet. I'm not sure if I can fix that with lacing, or if the wide version would relieve the problem...
This is very helpful because I got a pair of Blundstones and I keep thinking they're too short but that finger measurement is about the same as what I have on the insole.
Thanks for this video. I have bought some Scarpa SL activ boots. Because of the Euro sizes I found the 45 too big. I now have the 44. I am going to go through your steps and see if they are sufficient. As you say too much money not to get a good fit 😃😃
also had the same problem when I bought my Diemme boots had to go down one size from my usual 39 boot size, apparently Europeans have bigger feet than us...lol
I have a slightly larger left foot & high insteps. So I also try both feet. Plus I’m a EUR 47 or 48 depending on style & make. So invaluable tips here. Thanks.
Great info! Thank you!. Also. Those ridgeline boots are shocking. After a year or two of use. The leather has ballooned so much out the sides. I can't keep still on hills. Very flimsy boots
I always wear normal shoes to drive to the start point then put the socks and boots on. Just can't drive in my boots 'cos they are for walking in! The point about not feeling the pedals is right.
I like your wallpaper, very detailed guide, you're well spoken, you deserve more views, thanks.
well done Jason perfect timing good to see back

Wrap your laces twice so they won't slip and then make your knot. Works for me been doing this now for 30 years, try it out!

Thank you so so so much!! I have a hard time buying shoes that fit me properly and now I have more feet issues! Thank you for your helpful information

Gary, I'm a right foot 47 , left foot 46. On the Brannock device that's R - 14 B , L - 13 B. Any chance you're the reverse size?
Great info! Thank you!.

Excellent advice.
Turdy minutes will for sure let you know if there are any issues lol. Just messing this was good info :)
Good advice thanks
Are ridgeline boots heavy, do you go a size up. Great vid
Dont use them. Shocking boots. After a year they get extremely loose
Great tips thanks 👍
Wrong advice. Not enough space. Should be at least half inch
Exactly, there is way too little space left.
I am in needy but how can I get it in Bahrain ?
Well I missed step 1. Can't return them now, and I wanted this pair to be my last pair I ever bought.
You forgot about width of insole that should fit width of feet.
What type or brand are those boots?
