I learnt Jordanian Sign Language. I know some British Sign Language, just as there isn't one English Sign language there isn't exactly an Arab Sign Language, so some of the Muslim signs I know are different. Also as Muslims and Christians have lived in Peace in Jordan for centuries many of the signs are the same for some of the things signed. In Jordanian Sign Language it is also nice that Friday is the Sign for Muslim, Saturday for Jewish, and Sunday for Christian. It is much easier when you can have a conversation and don't have to change from saying "thank's be to God/Allah" even though the 2 communities would say it differently though Allah is the word for God among both Muslim and Christian Arabs. It was a pleasure to work there and I look forward to visiting my friends soon.

I love this! I lived in Arizona and learned a sign for Muslim (people) and now I wonder if it could be seen as offensive.
